RE: possible impacts for Florence
SC probably should have moved it’s game to Friday at 5 or 6. But then again earlier in the week it’s looked like the storm was going to miss us completely

Supposedly we are going to try to play a 12th game later in the year but I don’t see how it would work. College Football really needs a second bye week

There are so many games that have been canceled this year, I wonder if it is feasible for all conferences to delay their championship games a week and fit these missed games in?

Because of how slow the storm is projected to be moving when it comes inland they aren't expecting any serious effects until late Saturday. Clemson consulted with local public safety agencies, local emergency management officials, the SCEMD and National Weather Service before the decision. If projections change they will make adjustments as necessary.

You are wrong on so much here.

Georgia Southern is playing AT Clemson this week.

Savannah State was scheduled to play @ Howard this week but the game was postponed

No Georgia county is under any time of warning. The closest thing to a warning is a "Hurricane Local Statement" for the Georgia coastal counties that are in the coverage area of the National Weather Service's Charleston, SC office.

Stop spreading false information.

Georgia's Governor declaired a state of emergency

They would not have declared an emergency if the hurricane will not hit them. The hurricane made a turn to the southwest which pushed warnings and watches a further south. Savannah could get hit as well now.

You said they were "under the warning" which in this context implies a hurricane or tropical storm warning. As of 4 p.m. EDT that's not the case. That's not to say it couldn't happen but right now, it's not.

Maryland declared a state of emergency too but at this point they'll be lucky to get a couple of inches of rain. They certainly will not get hurricane conditions.

The track of the hurricane changes. The landfall shifted a bit, or may not land. They think it would be around Charleston for the landfall. Savannah and Statesboro could still be effected by the storm. The path could shift south by making landfall in the Charleston area. Will not move much and could drop from 20-30 inches of rain. It could flood the eastern parts of Georgia.

Nearly 24 hours later and there are still no watches or warnings for Georgia related to this hurricane. Again, stop spreading false information.

With both WVU and Marshall unable to play away games in the Carolinas tomorrow they should have arranged an impromptu Friends of Coal Bowl with proceeds going to disaster relief.

I’m pretty sure it’s unofficial for now, but unless they make the CUSA title game I think Marshall is coming to SC on championship weekend

They might have trouble with their home games next week due to flooding.

WVU could play Virginia Tech (instead of NCSU) on 10/ 19 or 20. Both are off and both have Thursday games the next week.

More complicated to shuffle the other schools. UNC is off 10/6, NCSU 10/13 and ECU and UCF on 10/26 (they play each other on 10/20).

Not a single drop of rain fell on the Clemson game, with most of it being played in the sunshine.
