80 teams. The P5, along with the very top of the G5, would be grouped in eight divisions of ten teams. Divisional set-up would be for football-only; schools would be able to have separate leagues/conferences for non-football sports. The top of the G5 were selected on basis of athletic budgets, football success and location (note: the last two teams in were UConn and ECU; both were selected due to their athletic budgets, despite their struggles in football).

Each team would play nine divisional games first in their season. Each team would be able to play three non-divisional games of their choosing, but they need to be from within this grouping of teams.
