you read that right. a fake fair catch.
nt 14 arkansas 0
How exactly does one fake a fair catch? Tell me more...
ive never seen it done until now. he caught the ball and stood there like he had waived fair catch when he hadnt. arkansas started walking off, the punt returner took off and ran the ball back for a touchdown.
he pretended he had waived and the refs didnt blow the whistle

Brutal.
Well... Little things lead to small things... If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times.

Nebraska needs a Texas and an Oklahoma team on their schedule every year to get back into the Texas recruiting ground. They are not going to get B-10 talent out of the Ohio, Michigan, Chicago, and the Northeast areas already owned by Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Notre Dame.

If the Frosts and the Kellys of the world would stick with the UCF's and UC's, then maybe they could turn those places into "destination" jobs. They weren't working for peanuts when they left.
But since they keep buying into they hype and perpetuating the myth of the "power" teams, I think this is funny. I hope they lose every game.
Nebraska and Arkansas are programs that are struggling more these days due to geography. Not a lot of elite talent near campus.
It was easier to convince kids from two states or more away to come to those programs before 2010. They offered a chance to be on TV every week and their facilities made the local "second tier" programs look small.
2018, every game in FBS is televised, almost all have great facilities, everyone pays a stipend, everyone has 25 uniform combos, etc.
A lot more kids are probably choosing their local "G5" over those programs in talent deserts. You friends and family can see you in person and every road game is on TV. Why go four states away?

Unfortunately, the only way to keep high caliber coaches from using our schools as stepping stones is to stumble upon a high caliber coach with former ties to the school (who would consider UCF/UC their dream job).

That is not talked about enough. I know the coaching staff is number 1 for most of these Croots but if they end up getting seasonal depression up there I don't think the recruiting will stay good.
I expected a decent class when SF and the staff were just selling 'look how fun UCF's offense is let's do it here' but after a couple cycles I'm curious to see if it continues.
And I see Nebraska fans saying 'but look at Ohio State and Wisconsin'. The difference is yes those places get cold but Columbus & Madison are a lot more appealing than Lincoln.
That's why I think Vodka Tom will eventually get Texas up there as a Top 10 Program again. How hard is it to get a few program changing recruits to Austin, Texas?

By “seasonal depression” do you mean relentless heat and humidity day and night for 9 months of the year?
