Obama made us irrelevant in Syria after spending a bunch of money. I think Trump prefers it that way.

Idlib Province is spared a major offensive. I'm guessing the Turks must have threatened to supply anti-aircraft weapons to the rebels and so the Russians agreed to a cease fire. The Syrian government didn't want to stop the offensive.
