Looking forward to see if Cuse can hang with Clemson on Saturday. Does a close loss get them in the Top 25?

I'm afraid someone may have already pulled the plug after last night.

I just flipped over to the Memphis @ Tulane game on ESPN2... I don't think I've ever seen two more hideous helmet designs in the same football game ever! (One team - sure, I'm a Hokies fan, but BOTH teams?)

They’re almost as hideous as Memphis’s performance

Not really, up on the score yes but...Clemson D is tough. Can Cuse's D rattle Sunshine?

This is exactly why Bryant's decision was foolish. He would've been second string QB for less than half a game before getting his old job back. Now, after he transfers, he'll either backup another QB or start for a bad team.

I wonder if GTS will tell us how the Yellow Jackets struggled against Bowling Green today?
BG 17 @ GT 49 - Q3

NC State rolling over UVA 20-7

BC has their hands full with Temple, 31-21

Clemson still trailing Syracuse, but now it's 16-10

Clemson had battled back to within a FG, 13-16, then stopped Syracuse on 3rd & 2 to force a punt...
Quote:Sterling Hofrichter punt for 51 yds , Amari Rodgers returns for no gain to the Clem 10 Amari Rodgers fumbled, recovered by Syracuse.
I know how you feel, Tigers.

BTW, BC starting to pull away from Temple now: 38-21

In the bleachers. The stadium was nearing half empty.

It's the worst team in the MAC. To lose this game was to be pink slipped summarily.

And with one Kelly Bryant transfer and one subsequent injury ... the ACC is just about ready to be eliminated from the CFP in September.

There you go telling lies again.

Syracuse was winning 16-7 before Lawrence got injured.

I know you hate Syracuse. You've made it clear for years but try not showing your complete bias against them just once.

Clemson got away with holding Sean Riley on that 3rd down.

Huge "missed call" that gives Clemson the ball back with a little over 6 minutes left down by 3.

I don't hate Cuse. I'm indifferent. It doesn't move the needle. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cuse fans say the same of GT. It's not a big surprise teams about 1,000 miles apart with little field history don't really care one way or the other about each other.

And if you think having Vigo the Carpathian go down in that game hasn't impacted it you're crazy.

Syracuse was beating Clemson 16-7 before Lawrence went out.

Clemson is outscoring Syracuse 20-7 since Brice came in.

That no call on the 3rd down play with 6:18 left probably cost Syracuse the game. Riley got blatantly held.

Refs always gotta make sure to help Clemson win a game.

I didn't see anything I considered blatantly wrong in terms of officiating. What I did see was a Clemson offensive line and running backs that came out playing MUCH harder in the second half. Perhaps they didn't respect Syracuse enough before the game began? (after last season, I don't know how that's possible). At any rate, I think we can say that last year was NOT a fluke for Syracuse - they are a legitimate bowl team this season.

TBH, I'm starting to think I'd rather see Clemson win the Peach Bowl instead of losing in the playoffs. Maybe if the ACC bumps all of its teams down one bowl level they'll have a winning record...
