not sure how you can claim 99 out of a 100 dominance on a team that beat you from what we have seen

So you DIDN'T see the game. Got it.
i watch the navy game.. my point was that if you want to discount the navy game, fine... the other 2 games were vs fcs calibur...what evidence do you have for the dominance...

if you beat mizzou by 3 tds, we'd all be "you might have a point" but your overt confidence is because of Georgia state?

Dude you “watch” every game. Do you ever leave your tv?

lol all of them play at the same time...i just have a multi game/screen set up that plays all of them at once, its not that hard...i "watch" about 8 games between noon to 4

No way you can actually tell what’s going on. You might as well watch the highlights.

LOL. Memphis has beaten a FCS team and a Sun Belt team, while losing to Navy. USF has beaten and ACC team and a Big 10 team. There is zero rationale for placing Memphis ahead of USF. None.

I like tigers. That’s my rationale.

I’m not the only one with Memphis above USF...

lol its not that hard its only 4 games at once...adding commercial breaks you are normally only focusing on 2 at a time...

and the announcers normally giveaway when something is happening of significance

That's just my perceived go-forward rating of the teams, hence the Memphis over Navy ranking. I think this is what the standings will look like at the end of the year.

Wow... Who do you think will beat Navy? Keep in mind, unless it is Houston combined with Memphis winning out, it's gonna have to be TWO losses.

I think we nip them at home (pun intended), hence me rating us above them. I think our D is really strong this year, and I think our ball control type strategy would work well against them. I also don’t see them beating UCF.

The rationale is believing Memphis is the better team. A lot of season left. These rankings don't have to measure on field W/L record over a 3 game sample size. S/P+ has Memphis as the 11th best team in the country through 3 weeks. I don't think they are that good, but I think the Navy result is a bit flukie. It's completely reasonable to believe Memphis is really good right now.

RE: Week Four: Rank the AAC
UCF- Actually stronger than last season.

USF- I knew we would struggle with Illinois. CCS will ride them hard this week and we club ECU like baby seals

Memphis- Tons of talent. Is anyone surprised that Navy excels playing in the water?

Houston- Lost a shootout to a high power TTech team but should outscore everyone else except maybe Memphis.

Cincy- They may be young but they don't know that.

Navy- Always tough to play, but have tough games still to play. Losses to ND and UCF, Houston could go either way.

Temple- Even a blind squirrel finds a crab cake once in a while. Can they get by a ranked BC in 2 weeks?

Tulane- Going to get waxed next week and it doesn't get much easier after that.

Tulsa- Who would have thought their best chance for a win in the next 4 games would be Arkansas?

SMU- brutal matchups to start the season. Could still be respectable but have to win 2 of the following 5 tough games to be bowl eligible. Navy, UCF, Cincy, Houston, Memphis

ECU- If only they could've beaten VaTech.... Oh well, that's water under the bridge (too soon?). Still have tough games against USF, UCF, Houston, and Memphis.

UConn- Probably only game they can win is UMass.

USF, UH, UC - Need to prove it to me by beating someone who counts, still they have P5 scalps.

Navy, Memphis - Memphis schedule sucks, Navy not there yet.

Temple - Excellent win, let's see more.

ECU, SMU, Tulane - Can they turn their season around? Opportunities this week.
Tulsa, UConn - I'm skeptical!

Temple (East), SMU (West) still my sleepers.

I grudgingly agree that UCF deserves to be #1 until proven otherwise. HOWEVER, if we use the "who have they played" criteria....then UCF would be hanging out near the bottom as they beat a rebuilding UCONN and FCS team. If that is the criteria then USF and Houston would be 1a & 1b .

I'm intrigued with this Temple matchup. Our line has had a tough time stopping edge rushers, but DT's haven't been our biggest problem and that seems to be one of Temple's strengths. I also will enjoy seeing how Temple's new QB (if it's the same kid from Maryland) adjusts to our 3-3-5 coverage scheme. It's been tough on opposing passers to some degree. It might be a bit much for a new QB to handle.

I don't think Temple will be relying on the QB as much as balance run/pass, especially since Armstead seemed to be running with purpose last week. The Temple run game will set up the pass game, not the other way around.

In regards to Cincinnati, when it's all said and done, I think we will still fall somewhere between 7-5 and 9-3. I don't believe we are a true contender in the east, but I do believe we are vastly improved and the future is bright. I don't really care to rank teams this week, because the only team I really believe in at this point is UCF. If I had to take UCF vs. the field to win the AAC, I would take UCF.
