Tulsa @ Houston ESPN
MY LINE: Houston 34-20 Tulsa's play doesn't boost my confidence in picking them to beat Houston.
SATURDAY 10/6
Tulane @ UC ESPNU
MY LINE: UC 31-27 I want to believe in Tulane after that domination of Memphis but until proven they can keep that kind of effort up against better teams I gotta go with Cincinnati.
ECU @ Temple ESPNEWS
MY LINE: ECU 24-23 I am believing in the ECU D and I haven't really seen Temple light it up. I think ECU escapes with a narrow win even if we have had bad luck in Philly.
Navy @ Air Force CBSSN
MY LINE: Navy 32-29 Air Force has been kind of iffy this year and I think Navy can edge them out buy a small margin.
USF @ UMass (?)
MY LINE: USF 45-17 I see no way this game is remotely close.
SMU @ #_ UCF ESPNU
MY LINE: UCF 45-16 I can;t see UCF letting off the gas on SMU. This will be a domination.
UConn @ Memphis (ESPN3?)
MY LINE: Memphis 45-13 UConn will feel the wrath of Memphis's loss to Tulane. This will be ugly.
So it has been written, so it shall be done.

Houston 31 Tulsa 14.
Houston takes car of business at home.
UC 34 Tulane 31.
Cincy is 5-0, but the FBS teams they have beaten have won a total of 4 games. Tulane just spanked Memphis. This could be close.
ECU 31 Temple 28
ECU will have the upper hand on defense. Temple will make something happen with special teams. If ECU controls turnovers, they can take advantage of Temple's "home field advantage."
Navy 35 Air Force 21
Air Force has no FBS wins. Navy will obliterate the 3 point spread.
USF 42 UMass 10
USF didn't look like last year's team against ECU, but they are 4-0 for a reason.
UCF 56 SMU 14
UCF at home. Yeah.
Memphis 63 UConn 10
Memphis showed no mercy trampling the Pirates 70-13 last year. They won't feel sorry for UConn.

I honestly find those two picks completely reasonable but I always spook myself by saying outright anyone drops 50+ on a D1 team.

Didn't see that Navy loss coming or the Pirates getting stomped into liver pudding.

Man, I am honestly not sure which is the most puzzling of the two.

MY LINE: Houston 34-20 Tulsa's play doesn't boost my confidence in picking them to beat Houston.
REALITY SAID: Houston 41-26 It was a fairly close game till Houston blew it open in the 4th.
1-0
SATURDAY 10/6

MY LINE: UC 31-27 I want to believe in Tulane after that domination of Memphis but until proven they can keep that kind of effort up against better teams I gotta go with Cincinnati.
REALITY SAID: UC 37-21 Cincy blew it out in the 2nd quarter.
2-0

REALITY SAID: Temple 49-6 What I saw in this game today did not compute on so many levels.
2-1
Navy @ Air Force CBSSN
MY LINE: Navy 32-29 Air Force has been kind of iffy this year and I think Navy can edge them out buy a small margin.
REALITY SAID: AF 35-7 How the hell did AF blow Navy out? And from what I caught of the game it wasn't even that close.
2-2
USF @ UMass (?)
MY LINE: USF 45-17 I see no way this game is remotely close.
REALITY SAID: USF 58-42 How the hell did UMass amass 42 on USF is my only question in this game?
3-2
SMU @ #_ UCF ESPNU
MY LINE: UCF 45-16 I can;t see UCF letting off the gas on SMU. This will be a domination.
REALITY SAID: UCF 48-20 Yeah, about what I figured.
4-2
UConn @ Memphis (ESPN3?)
MY LINE: Memphis 45-13 UConn will feel the wrath of Memphis's loss to Tulane. This will be ugly.
REALITY SAID: Memphis 55-14 Yup, as expected.
5-2
So it has been written, so it shall be done.
Another week of AAC action down the drain.
