So far, in the first week of the first trial, Arizona can't say the same thing as Louisville. NC State can't say the same thing.

And I guarantee that when all 3 trials are over, there WILL be countless others who will be unable to say the same thing.

Perhaps those kids never actually played for Louisville, but that was the certainly recruiters' intent. Otherwise, why did they entice prospects by providing them with hookers, blow, and cash? The school doesn't try to lure other prospective students that way, does it?

Intent is a big deal in any court of law. It's the difference between murder and manslaughter, reckless and careless driving, and so on.

The Powell case didn’t make it past the grand jury because she was found to be unreliable. The criminal case went nowhere. The NCAA created new rules & set a precedent to were other athletes receiving similar monetary benefits were often allowed to pay it back or serve community service with little to no suspension. This was the first time full season(s) were striped.

What will the NCAA do with Baylor & Michigan State?

Blow is now part of the scandal?? News to me, and everyone else in Louisville.

Bottom line ---

-- Unlike other schools in the FBI sting, Bowen never played for the school who supposedly Adidas paid for him to play for.
-- Unlike other schools in the FBI sting, Louisville didn't have any assistant coaches arrested.
-- Unlike other schools in the FBI sting, the University President, Athletic Director, Head Coach, and Coaching Staff were ALL fired, and replaced.

Will there be punishment for Louisville? Sure.
But will these factors mitigate the punishment? They should, but this is the NCAA we're talking about. So we shall see.

Others are sweating now or at least they should be. As the trials start more will be revealed unless the FBI doesn’t go after Nike because they are an American company. The AAU is notorious for hiking its skirt up for any of the shoe companies. Nike and Nike schools are not clean by any stretch.

Nike employees were subpoenaed ... The Nike grass roots league, EYBL, offices were raided, and documents subpoenaed ... Nike is definitely part of this whole thing. Don't worry about that.

To answer your question, I think the death penalty has to be in play. They probably won't pull the trigger, but the death penalty was designed for rogue programs like Louisville.
