Getting dominated by a 1-4 Tulsa team, and Strong looks clueless. I am becoming convinced Strong was a bad hire, running on Taggart's fumes. Hope we can turn this around but looks bad right now.
:banghead:
USF losing makes my point that the AAC is weak. I knew uSF is gonna slip up somewhere, and tonight could be the night.

I think you guys are misinterpreting. At the time he posted, the game wasn't over and USF was indeed losing, so he was correct. That point is made clear by his last statement that "tonight could be the night" indicating he knew the game wasn't over when he posted.
David’s predictions have become an urban legend. When he predicts something, the entire site freezes and listens.

I'll take your word for that, I was just commenting on what JR and the other poster seemed to be saying, that David had claimed USF had lost when they actually won.
That said, he was clearly wrong about one thing: Whether USF beat Tulsa or lost to Tulsa wouldn't show that the "AAC is weak", because it was an all-AAC game, meaning that one AAC team would win and one would lose. Conference weakness can only be shown in games versus OOC opponents, not conference games.

When he predicted it USF was on their last drive. So he waited kind of late to make the prediction and then it was wrong. Hence Dewey Wins which was a headline made prior to all of the precincts reporting.
So Quo both situations were quite appropriate to one another. So no, oh ye who didn't grab the nuance, my remark was pretty much spot on!

How did USF/Tulsa even make it into this thread? Without looking I will guess the spread was 7 or less. Any road win is a good one.

USF vs Tulsa made the thread because in the 4th Q, 5-0 and #23 USF was losing to 1-4 Tulsa. At that time, that was an embarrassing situation for the Bulls.

That's a multiple choice answer. Choose your preferred response:
(a.) It might have been an upset.
(b.) There wasn't much else to talk about.
(c.) It's the AAC so.....
(d.) God only knows!

It seems to me that one of the reasons schools play these weeknight games is that there will be people watching and talking about you who wouldn't do it if you were playing on Saturday. It seems to be working.

True, but is it an opportunity to improve your status, or confirmation of it?

In a laughable scores thread? OK, but USF wasn't favored by 14 or 21 or 28 points.

Oh come on.
USF was 5-0 and ranked #23 coming into the game. Tulsa was 1-4 and riding a 4 game losing streak. Clearly this was a "laughable score." Plus add on all the "P6" bull**** that fans of "the American" have thrown around, you have a perfect climate for why people are keyed up on this score. If you're going to "Talk the talk," then don't be surprised when people make you "walk the walk."

Well the talk has been talked and the walking is going quite well also. As for the 'p6 bull****' as you put it, it must be working because the viewers keep viewing..

I had to look it up. If it holds, it will be the first time since 1974 and only the 4th time ever (previous were 48,49 and 55) that Florida has lost to Kentucky and Vanderbilt in the same year.

Florida just had two players ejected and the teams nearly brawled.

Wow, that's interesting.
Florida has rallied some but it's still 21-13 Vandy at the half.

Implications abound. Florida, Auburn, and Ohio State losing today would be massive chaos.

Gophers are playing much better than they did previous two weeks, but turnovers are killing them.

RE: Laughable Scores - 2018 Football - Week 7
If people want to know what causes dissension on a team all they need to do is watch Malzahn's decisions to keep Stidham in the game when his pick six cost Auburn the L.S.U. game, his pick versus Miss State cost us another, and today he has 2 picks and a fumble one setting up a TD, and the other a scoop and score.
The defense is solid, though getting a bit dinged up. They've played well enough to win all three games if not for Stidham's turnovers and offensive ineptitude.
Now as to the dissension, it destroys the sense of being a team when 1 person's image is more important than sitting him and putting in #2. If you put in #2 and he pulls you out that's great. But, even if he doesn't it still sends the message to the team that they all contribute and that if one stumbles someone else will pick you up. That way you win together or lose together.
It's painful to watch, but I've not been a Gus fan for quite sometime. Today he did what he did last year, he played an injured player and got him hurt worse. Last year it was Pettway. This year it is Whitlow.
What message does it send your kids when you play an injured player instead of healthy #2.
IMO, people like Gus shouldn't be allowed to coach these young men. Johnson was right to sit out the bowl game last year. He was nicked up and it might have cost him his NFL opportunity.
The legacy of the departed A.D. Jay Jacobs is going to continue to hurt the program. We've signed this glorified High School coach to 7 million a year thanks to Jacobs. I was so hoping last year he would head to Arkansas.
Nick and Kirby win for a reason. They coach for depth and don't play injured players.

The game they feared...is coming to pass. The retro Panthers put together a stout offensive drive for a touchdown.
Pittsburgh - 7
#5 Notre Dame - 0
1:26 left in the first quarter.
