Surprised to see him striking out in recruiting. He was Cal's top recruiter when Cal was at Memphis. He didnt lose any steam when he became the HC at Memphis, still bringing in top recruits. There was always alot to be desired as a HC, but he was always a top flight recruiter. This news is a head scratcher.

He was only with Cal one season. I think he did more work at Arizona.

Correct. I forgot that he was at Arizona too.

Well Georgia Tech can't pay like Zona and they actually have academic standards unlike Memphis, so that might be the explanation.

It doesn't sound like they are competing with elite basketball recruiting schools either (Northwestern and Fresno state).

He seemed like an odd fit at the time. I think Ryan Odom’s name will come-up a lot in ACC circles this season, barring a horrible season of course.

On the other hand, he has virtually no name recognition and he is at least getting mentioned with Duke and UNC.
