NC State does NC State things

NC State definitely hurting the ACC- making where if Syracuse loses as expected to Notre Dame and Clemson beats Boston College- the league will only have Clemson in the NY 6 games.

The funny thing is that this team was actually ranked 14. The ACC is pathetic this year, almost as pathetic as the playoff comittee. When hopes of conference respectability lie with BC and Syracuse......... just wow.

it's why if Clemson doesn't win the ACC, they're not making the playoff.

According to Massey Composite, outside of Clemson the CFP has been giving the ACC teams too much respect:

NC State .... 14 CFP ...... 23 Massey

BC ............ 17 ...... 28

Syracuse ... 13 ..... 29

So while the CFP has all of those ACC teams in the top 20, and two in the top 15, Massey says that only NC State should have been ranked, and well back at #23. Syracuse and BC shouldn't be ranked at all.

1 thing in a computer that used to be a BCS computer- Massey- they had NC State going into this week at #13....

They have a function where you can add games in. I put in the Wake beating NC State game.

NC States rating dropped from 13-35.

The gap right now from 13-36 is less than the gap from 10-13.

NC State loses to a team that a putrid FSU team beat by 28. ACC Football at its best.

But just last week, the CFB moved Syracuse up 6 spots for beating the same Wake Forest team. WTF

The problem is that there aren't that many teams with only 2 losses... Going into this week, there were only 14 P5 teams with 0-2 losses. Only like 15 more with 3 losses.

Sorry but some of the teams in the Massey top 29 had 4 losses. No chance in hell a 5-4 team is ever going to be in front of a 7-2 team. Ever.

Syracuse is getting a lot of respect just from how they played Clemson......

yeah, unless Syracuse beats Notre Dame. Then they would deserve to be there IMO.

The CFP probably followed the pollster's lead: Both the AP and Coaches polls vaulted Syracuse way up their rankings, from the 20s to about #13 before this latest CFP poll came out. So the CFP may have just followed suit.

And who knows? Maybe Syracuse does deserve that ranking.

But as for NC State, there was a big gap between the CFP and the polls. Both AP and Coaches had NC State at #22 this week, in light of last night that seems much more accurate than the CFP.
