Stat of the game: Cincinnati rushing totaled 238 yards to the Bulls' 81. That helped with time of possession [UC 37:06/USF 22:54] and gassing USF defenders in the second half.
Truck warren with another monster game: 28 carries, 151 yards, 3 TD's, 2 receptions, 27 yards, 1 TD. He has two more games to add to his season totals. Like someone posted earlier, he's only a sophomore.

UC was the far better team at every level, the only unit for USF that looked fit to play was the D line, every other group looked outmatched. And that is a poorly coached team, if they don't have athleticism, they can't do much. Congratulations on your old already well paid coach hire, maybe hiring an old coach in Florida will work out differently than it did for us up here.

No doubt UC was the better team. Truth be told, this team was built to win last year in anticipation of Marlon Mack coming back, but Mack left right after Taggart did, and Strong (more correctly, Sterlin Gilbert) wasted that loaded team. We all expected this to be a rebuilding year (young OL and absolutely no linebackers to speak of), but both Ford and Cronkrite stepped up at RB and Barnett transferred in and made us all think maybe we'd do more than rebuild. But the front half of the schedule was paper soft, and now that we're playing good teams we're being exposed.
Time will tell if Strong ends up being a good hire. I truly think Harlan (the AD who hired him) figured he'd come in and do such a good job that he'd get another P5 job, meaning we'd end up not having to pay him much at all and he'd leave the cupboard stocked for the next guy. I don't think that's happening...

From a guy that has traveled to Raymond James to watch a few butt whoopings, I have some experience with seeing the wrong coach in an empty stadium. I don't get any good vibes from your sideline.
