Help pick the wild card games for week 12
Help me pick the wild card games.

Games I'm pretty sure I'm going with

Syracuse at Notre Dame
Iowa State at Texas

Probably going with San Diego State at Fresno State but tell me in the comments what you think.

So here's the quandary, there just aren't a ton of good games this week. I try to get games from each P5 conference but just not going to happen this week. SEC has their FCS feast this week and the schedule in general is kind of weak.

So here are the games to choose from.

San Diego State at Fresno State (Non-P5 but looks like a interesting game)
West Virginia at Oklahoma State (2nd game from the Big 12?)
Arizona at Washington State (Top 10 WSU vs average AZ?)
Utah at Colorado (A Pac-12 game that could be competitive but not a "name" game)

To me, I think the best wild cards are the ones where the away team is better but the home atmosphere makes it a 50/50 pick.

Of the four options you have, I think Utah at Colorado fits that criteria and maybe WVU at OSU.

I think for me it would come down to the importance of the game.

1 = WVU v OSU. Definite playoff ramifications here.

2 = Wash. St. v ASU. Top ten team in action, probably winner of the PAC.

I went for West Virginia @ Oklahoma State as West Virginia not a heavy favorite and race is still important to the conference race.

I'd pick Fresno vs SD ST. Fresno needs to win if they have any chance at all of getting a NON P5 big bowl bid.

Oklahoma State killed Boise, beat Texas and would have beaten Oklahoma on Saturday if not for that fumble on the final drive. They are a very good team that just had has issues closing the deal against several teams. They are home versus 9th ranked WVU. Its one of the prime matchups of the weekend.
