While Rutgers didn’t officially announce the financial terms, a person familiar with the contract told NJ Advance Media it’s a 7-year deal starting at $1.25 million and increasing by $100,000 annually to $1.85 million in 2025-26.
In June 2011, Rutgers agreed to an eight-year naming rights deal with then-named High Point Solutions worth $600,000 annually. So essentially Rutgers Athletics Director Pat Hobbs more than doubled the previous stadium naming-rights amount in Year 1 and more than tripled it in Year 7.
Really great financial deal for Rutgers. They doubled (and then some) their stadium sponsorship for their athletic department and school.

Everything that I've seen, Hobbs has things moving in the right direction. Good for, Rutgers!
Considering how bad our football is, has been and probably will be for several years after we finally replace Chris Ash, the name lends itself to a billion jokes. But it's a great deal for us on doubling an existing revenue stream. AND we need every penny Hobbs can dig up to continue the BIG Build program. Good news is the new RWJ performance facility will open early August. That is physical therapy and dedicated practice and office space for MBB, WBB, Wrestling and Gymnastics. Ground breaking for the new M/W Lax, M/W Soccer has happened with steel going up by Labor Day. New Football practice fields are in, and football locker-room is being built out as we speak. Latest word from the AD is Baseball/Sofball facilities and a new field house to replace the bubble are next up.

no doubt the money is great. But the punch lines available if Rutgers can't improve the football are going to be so easy to find.

As long as the SHI* is on the stadium and not in the stadium, the few remaining Loyal Sons will be happy. Until that time though I'm still shaking my head....only Rutgers (this coming from an alumnus).

The name is funny to go along with Rutgers and their lack to place a competitive team on the field.
Here is where I look at things differently than most. Rutgers is spending money and trying to improve their entire athletics department. I give them a lot of respect for this and the effort to improve their future. Yes they suck at football, but, improvements are being made to address this. Sure as hell beats being bad at something and never trying to improve. There are plenty of teams in P5 conferences that are leaches!

Congrats to Rutgers. Sounds like the BIG money is improving facilities.
