Full beer service at the Linc. A benefit of playing in a pro stadium.

FedEx and Liberty Bowl both allows sale of beer, wine, and mixed drinks.

UCF has beer wine and mixed drinks but you gotta pay up and be in one of the many club sections to get it. The poors in the endzone and students are out of luck.

It does not seem equitable to exclude people from alcohol access based on stadium location and it restricts potential revenue. Do fans complain?

it actually increases revenue because if you want the sauce you gotta pony up some booster monies. More than half the stadium is in these booster sections. Primarily the sections that don't have access are students, visitors, and family sections.

Nope...no such thing...hence why NFL Stadiums are HORRIBLE for college football.

Heck, Temple would increase their season tix sales by 50% or more if they built a new 30,000-35,000 seat on-campus stadium...as there is never a reason to buy a season tix if your team plays in a NFL Stadium because there are usually 40,000-50,000 EMPTY Seats for most games and ZERO threat of missing out on great seats (or any seats).

Dude, his comment was simply celebrating beer sales at Linc. Your rant here was totally unnecessary.

Take a lap.

This afternoon, UCF announced it had fewer than 500 tickets remaining earlier this afternoon \...

and now its mostly resale tix (pink seats) and $200 Tickets in the West Side Club (blue 2nd level)

LOL!!

Do fans sitting in the end zones at the Liberty Bowl think its "unfair" that those fans sitting up in the suites enjoy the game with catered food in 72 degree temperatures, rain or shine...in August or late Nov?

Do Tiger fans eating a back of chips out of their Ford Pinto complain about those other Tiger Fans with RV's and nice set ups on Tiger Lane?

Dude...the more you donate...the more amenities you enjoy.

Equitable? LOL!!!

I prefer the LINC over a new Broad Street Stadium for accessibility off 95, the parking, plenty of tailgate space, the Verizon Center, and safety overall. Not so sure I'll continue to go to Temple games if and when the new stadium is build, especially if the tickets increase by 50% as noted above. 04-jawdrop 04-jawdrop 04-jawdrop 03-shhhh 03-shhhh 03-shhhh 04-cheers

I was not advocating for Temple staying in the Linc or any other college team to play in a pro stadium. I feel strongly that Temple should have an on campus stadium. My post was only pointing out one advantage of a pro stadium.

Understand...its just that our neighbor's to our west have used that same excuse for the past 10 plus years as to why they shouldn't build their own on-campus stadium, yet their program is still looking for their first ever conf title...and can only DREAM of winning 2 NYD6 Bowls in 5 years.

+2 for turning an alcohol availability post into USF bashing. Well done!

RE: UCF/Cinci SOLD OUT!
The nation is going to get a taste of the big-time college football that is played (but largely ignored) in our league. College Gameday, prime time ABC broadcast, and two top-25 teams playing in front of nearly 50,000 fans in a sold-out stadium. I'm so psyched for Saturday night.

Win or lose, I hope it's an entertaining game that turns in great ratings going into contract negotiations.

Seat location based on cost is universal. I have never heard or read a sporting venue advocate proletariat prohibition.

As I understand it, alcohol sales are between the school, the conference, and the venue. U Tulsa has beer and wine for the masses, and full bars for the sacred donors.

Here's a map:
https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/...528530002/

In the AAC it appears to be:
Tulsa
SMU
Houston
Tulane
Cinci (or Cincy, if you prefer...)
Memphis (municipal stadium)
USF (pro stadium)
Temple(pro stadium)
UCONN (pro stadium)

So basically... not o ECU, Navy, or UCF.

Most P5 schools with on-campus stadiums only serve booze/beer/wine in club sections and suites. While more and more P5 schools are more open to sell beer stadium wide (like WVU), most only serve booze to those that donate more $$$ to the school.

its pretty common in college athletics. Ohio state and Virginia Tech only sell booze in club or luxury sections off the top of my head.

Let's state the obvious: getting booze into Brighthouse/Spectrum has never been an issue. Stick a flask in your waist line or pocket and there's no issue at all. Buy a coke and pour it in and you're set.

Here is a breakdown on which schools that serve beer in all seating areas (i.e. notice ZERO schools in the Pac-12 do). Most that do are G5 schools.
