Was Earlham College on DavidSt ready to move up to D-II list?

That may have to wait a bit longer.

post edit: This decision is also seen by many pundits as a blow to NoDak's Great North FBS conference.

Wrong Arkansas poster. Quick search reveals arkstfan as the first to mention them, back in 2017.

They were pretty decent in the 60s and 70s. Don't know how recently the bottom fell out.

That's too bad. My DIII alma mater in Ohio hasn't been at .500 since 2003 so an OOC game with Earlham would have been great.

Yes sir. I feel your pain. My muskies went 0-10 one of the years I was there. Back in the 60s they ere a DIII powers that played in two Rice Bowls against Middle Tennessee and Tennessee St. So where did you go?

Hah! My wife graduated from the team that beat them 70-6 in their final game. Now I get to tell her, "your school is so bad that when a team lost to them, they cancelled their football program in shame."

Rose-Hulman was still all-male when I attended in the late 70s, but we were doing everything we could to change that. RHIT actually has decent athletics (for Division III), and is the perennial #1 undergraduate engineering school in the US News and World Reports rankings (measured as schools that do not have significant graduate research programs).

Yes, they have surprisingly good sports teams. Rosie the Elephant and The Fightin' Engineers!

My wife played softball there. She still has the school's all-time record for number of times picked off.
