I hate this crap. In MLB you can't make any moves until the season is over as not to take away from the playoffs and world series. Same should be the case in college football and coaching. You can't contact a coach or hire one until after the national championship game. Purdue has a great season and with multiple games to go in the season not to mention a bowl game they got to deal with their coach leaving. If they really care about these kids (yeah right) then they need to put a stop to this practice.

UCF played through this crap all last year. It really sucks for the players and the fans.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

It's impossible for a CFB coach to be perceived as telling the truth 100% of the time about their future career. First, the situation is changing day-to-day. Second, much of the situation is confidential and they'd ruin their future career if they talked too much.

Yea, but there should be a rule where there is zero contact or recruiting of a coach during the season. Last year rumors were spilling out to the UCF locker room that Scott Frost had a meeting with the Nebraska AD in philly during their trip to play Temple. It's not right for kids to go through that.

And it’s gradually getting earlier and earlier every year. This time Purdue got 9/12 games with Brohm before things leaked and derailed their season. Steep downhill trend since the days of John L Smith switching jobs at halftime of a bowl game. And the pursuing schools feel like they have to because of the pressure of beating others to the punch.

They need a hardline rule, period. Like conference championship Saturday.

The problem isn't agents, coaches, AD,s talking or not. The problems seems to be the media writing articles and speculating, which won't ever stop.
