USM to Bahamas, Tech to Hawaii. Both could get embarrassed by a Sunbelt

Arizona misses a last minute fg so they are now done. Max total now down to 86

And there are 80 total slots (including the playoff spots), correct?

TCU (5-6) host Oklahoma St (6-5)
USC (5-6) host Norte Dame (11-0)

78 slots as the championship game teams are already in the count from the semifinals

FAU lost so USMs chances of getting a secondary bowl increases. With that game now final bowl eligible teams now is maxed at 85.

RE: C-USA bowls
Per ex USM beat writer Patty McGee, "C-USA has six primary bowl tie-ins and there are already six teams with seven wins or more. Those six teams will be given priority over potential six-win teams in Southern Miss and FAU. The C-USA site lists seven tie-ins, but there's an odd agreement this year where C-USA will send one team to either the Dallas or Tampa games, not both. Losses by Tulane, SMU and FAU would help USM's chances."

Well, Tulane won today but SMU and FAU both lost so does this mean that it's automatic that USM will get an invite?

With CUSA and the NCAA there’s no such thing as automatic

Muchos Gracias.

We had your game on in our box at the stadium. Had to use my Iphone hotspot and an Amazon FireStick.

Damn shame our games are relegated to the Internet.

Stadium TV was showing Navy vs. Penn women's basketball. Our conference has major issues getting our games on real television.

C-USA fans may be the most tech-savvy fans in the nation.

80 teams have reached 6 wins with these 5 teams remaining (if my calculations are correct)

Kansas St (5-6) at Iowa St (6-4) - KSU up 17 in 4th
Colorado (5-6) at California (6-4) - Colorado trails by 12 midway thru 4th
TCU (5-6) host Oklahoma St (6-5) - TCU up 14-3 start of 3rd
USC (5-6) host Norte Dame (11-0) - USC up 10-7 at half

Next week
VT (5-6) host Marshall

Appears that Kansas St will win while Colorado will lose which would put total at 81 with TCU, USC and VT left.

Lightning strikes twice tonight. Iowa St almost duplicates Arizona State’s 4th quarter as ISU scores 21 unanswered points in the 4th to get the come from behind win and keep Kansas St from bowling

Cal beat Colorado as well so that drops the possible bowl eligible teams to 83 with TCU and USC still left tonight with VT next week

As a USM fan, we need to root for TCU, USC, and VT (next week vs MARSH) to all lose. Current scores:

OK State 17
TCU 24
9:58 4th

ND 17
USC 10
12:40 4th

At this point I feel like they’ll be 82 teams when it’s all said and done. And the 4 teams left out will be USM, Miami (OH), UL Monroe and Wyoming. Now this could change based off bowl agreements but just my gut feeling.

All 4 are 6 win teams and last eligible team in their respective conference:
USM - 7th place CUSA team based off overall record
Miami (OH) - 7th place MAC
Wyoming - 7th place MWC
ULM - 6th place Sun Belt

From CUSA website
Conference USA has secured guaranteed commitments for six bowl spots for the 2018 season, as well as maintaining two secondary agreements. The Bahamas, Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton, Hawai’i, New Mexico, and R+L Carriers New Orleans bowls are joined by a spot in either the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla (Tampa Bay) and Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowls as the primary agreements. The Frisco Bowl in Frisco, Texas and the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La., (should the ACC or SEC not be able to provide a bowl-eligible team) serve as secondary bowls. There is no set selection order among C-USA’s bowl partners.
