The best cross-country teams in the nation descended on Madison, Wisconsin, to contest the 2018 Division I NCAA Cross-Country Championships on Saturday. With a fresh snowfall covering the course, the races were highlighted by stunning kicks to the finish line and heroic performances from top teams to end an exciting fall season.

The men’s race saw Wisconsin’s Morgan McDonald kick to win on his home course before Northern Arizona claimed a historic three-peat in the team race.

It was a very exciting race. NAU has been amazing to follow the past few years.

That looks like it was a really tough course. Temperatures in the 30s may not be too bad, at least if its not windy. But running on snow is tough.

It is a brutal course. The Nuttycombe Invitational is there every year and always produces a worthy champion. I love hard cross country courses, not flat and fast.
