"UCF exposing college football playoff>>>>
https://nypost.com/2018/11/18/the-colleg...g-exposed/

excerpt:

"College football has a Central Florida problem. It’s also an anyone-but-Power-5-conference problem. There is no room for Cinderella in the sport, no shot for the little guy to play for a championship, no chance to replicate basketball’s version of March Madness that has become so popular.

Central Florida has become the poster child for this issue, courtesy of its nation’s-best 23-game winning streak that has shone a light on the inequality in the sport. While last year’s national championship claim — which included a parade — was over the top, it was also needed, a fun story of an overlooked school standing up for itself".

Don't y'all just love how they refer to you as "the little guy"? I mean, y'all have, what... 56,000 students?

When they say little, what they mean is, little in their perceived importance.

UCF football has been such an asset to the American for the last two years, but you could substitute any AAC team having that winning streak and get the same result according to the Playoff committee. However, if it was Boise, would it be the same? Would they with their history have a better outcome?

UCF has been a REAL nice asset to the AAC since it was formed in 2013:

2013: UCF AAC Champions and BCS Fiesta Bowl Champions.

2014: UCF wins another AAC Title

2017: UCF wins AAC Divisional and AAC Conf Titles plus NYD6 Peach Bowl Champa

2018: AAC Divisional Title

That's not bad over a 6 yr oeriod and this season isn't done yet.

No, they wouldn't.

Actually, add 10k to that, 66,000 students.

Yup. And we still have more wins than everyone except Houston since 2013. So what's that saying about everyone else?

Our schools have built a hell of a conference. UCF ontop at the moment but their success is also due to the overall elevation of the conference. Congrats.

Actually UCF has been the best on the vaunted Florida list of top P5 schools (Miami, FSU, and Florida) the last two years as well. Each of those schools have been crowned (fictitious) national champions in the past.

Tough competition only makes you stronger and the AAC usually has 4 strong teams a season which is as good as most P5. We win with far less money and they steal our good coaches and yet we still win. We should be P6 conference.

Auburn sure looked liked "the little guy" last season against UCF, lol.

They had a candy-ass excuse, because Auburn is a program built on candy-ass players.

Auburn, you come out outside again and get off the porch and play a real team with the Big Dogs. If you can't hang with the Big Dogs, then stay on the Front Porch.

UCF has always been the football program of extremes...They are either the worst or the best. Extreme highs with extreme lows.

Total BS. Did Loyola Chicago play the same schedule as Duke last year? Hell no but they did make the final 4 and nobody complained. Does Gonzaga play the same schedule as Kansas? Probably not but they have proven they are great.

You don’t have to play in an awesome conference top to bottom to be a great team! This is soooooo stupid. And the AAC is a damn good league that doesn’t get near the respect it deserves.

CFB needs a real playoff where teams like UCF, Houston, Boise, whoever it may be in a particular year gets a spot in the playoff.

What is in place now is NOT a playoff

Uh, what? We've had 2 extreme lows in 2004 and 2015. 2004 was explainable given GOL was cramming his way of playing down their throats. 2015 was just an utter debacle in every possible way.

They are, however, clear outliers.

2005 - 8 wins and played for CUSA title.
2007- 10 wins and won CUSA
2009- 9 wins
2010- 11 wins and won CUSA
2012- 9 wins, played for CUSA title
2013- 12 wins, won AAC, won Fiesta Bowl
2014- 9 wins, won AAC
2016- 6 wins
2017- 12 wins, won AAC, won Peach Bowl
2018- 10 wins and counting

There were some mediocre to bad years in there but nothing remotely close to the 0'fer seasons. O'Leary had too many 4-6 win seasons for sure though.

He’s not wrong. During GOL we’d have a good year followed by a bad year so often it was a running joke.

GOL held us back. Look at what UCF has done since he left. He should have been fired after the Plancher death or probation, the program would be much farther along.

It looks like Mike Aresco is working with G5 to file a anti trust against P5 if ucf is not in playoff if they are undefeated.

It looks like this is going to be the split.

Why would mike work with all of G5 this is about AAC
