FINAL

They did. Congrats to Seniors and all the Rice Owls. Now, please work hard at school and in the offseason (that goes for the coaches, too!)

Exclamation RE: Ouchless today, finally.
We have no QB, really this year, but we found something else:

With game tied 13-13 in 3Q,
Rice's Juma Otoviano rushed up the middle for 80 yard touchdown
and then in 4Q:
Juma Otoviano rushed to the right for 62 yard touchdown.

Rice
Juma Otoviano 27 attempts 224yards 8.3avg 80long 2TDs

ODU, welcome to the very exclusive club of teams (with Prairie View, UTEP, Charlotte) who’ve lost to Rice in the last 40 games.

What happened to Rice football? I went to the Rice/Army game 3 years ago (rained most of the day), which the Owls won and moved to 4-3 on the season. They had won CUSA title just a couple of years before.

But since then, they’re 7-35 with 2 wins each over Prairie View, Charlotte, and UTEP. And now 1 over ODU.

Lackluster recruiting and poor coaching in the last couple of years of Bailiff left the cupboard quite bare for Bloomgren.

We were starting 8 or so true freshman in this last game.

Just my two cents worth: Rice having a lofty academic position does not prohibit you from having a decent football program. And, it would be really beneficial to CUSA if the Owls had a good football team. Hope Rice turns it around and regains some of its old glory.

Congrats on the win. Maybe this will set you on the forward motion back to being a formidable team to face in the league.
