BUT, Having a first down in the Red Zone 4 times and coming away with 4 Field Goals is the MOST INEXCUSABLE part of MT's performance today. The Blazers deserved to win cause we did not finish!

MT stretched the field really well and found weaknesses in UAB's coverage. Down close to the end zone, there's no room to stretch.

Was the 12th man a pure mistake, or an attempt to sneak in an extra rusher?

The program’s Lazarus like rise is one of the most remarkable and yet under reported stories of college football.

I doubt it will ever be told. Ray was on the field smiling like the sociopath he is while the trophy was hoisted.

A lot of people gave a lot of themselves to win this fight - many of them post on these boards. Instead the story will be told as one of money and donors, but we knew that from the start.

Today is a special day.

There are "urgency" penalties: offsides
There are "effort" penalties: facemask, roughing passer (at times), block in back, running into kicker
There are "oops" penalties: pass interference (I screwed up, I'm just grabbing him), holding, delay of game
There are "emotional" penalties: unsportsmanlike conduct, most roughing passer, personal fouls, roughing kicker
Then there is whatever that was. I guess 12 men on the field could normally be a "brain fart" penalty. But 12 on the punt return team coming out of a time out on 4th down? There's got to be a special category for that.

That is just a gut punch of a way to lose a football game.
