If speculation was accurate, UCF would have been blow out by Auburn last year or Big 12 Champ Baylor in 2013. UCF won 25 games straight thats super hard regardless of who you are.

UCF would have been blown out by Auburn last year had they met in the CFP rather than Auburn having the rug pulled out from them in the SECCG resulting in their consolation game coming against an admittedly quite good UCF team geeked up to play the biggest game in program history attempting to prove they belong.

I hate the "we were your Super Bowl" argument 99% of the time, but the disparity in what that game meant to the participating teams is exponential.

Best damn offense in college football, and the best damn QB in college football. Kyler Murray controls that offense like a puppet master. Never seems to get flustered in the pocket and makes every read before taking off

Before they lost their starting QB, I think they could've scored 71 on Oklahoma's porus D.

And give up about 90.

They gave up 38 to Memphis in a half.

They did give up a lot of points to Memphis in the first half, but they also had several uncharacteristic turnovers that led to 17 of those points for the Tigers.

In a conference championship game against an 8-4 Memphis team whose best game might have been their regular season 1 point loss to UCF.

I think anyone in the top 6 would have little problem making this UCF team make uncharacteristic mistakes.

Thats garbage. Even auburns players put that myth to rest and said they were fired up for the game.

Of course they said that, actually admitting your disappointment affected you is worse.

And once the whistle blew, I'm sure Auburn were playing hard, but it is an inarguable fact that there was a massive difference in the stakes.

Please stop referring to the Alabama Invitational Football Expo as a “playoff”

That is all....

UCF could beat Notre Dame, I have no doubt....HOw do we know Notre Dame is that good? THeir schedule was not impressive and they have struggled against some mediocre teams like Ball St, Pitt. and USC, who has Notre Dame beat that is impressive?
I think Clemson will boat race them...NO doubt in my mind if UCF still had MIlton they would give Notre Dame a game....Oklahoma I am not sure, but it would be a shootout and they might be in that one too...bama and clemson are on a different level due to those teams having about 10 future NFL DL a piece, that really separates tiers DL and Edge rushers that are relentless putting pressure on QB....Bama and Clemson have freaks on DL....

So let's make sure and play the game.
