2018 ACC Bowls
Wake Forest +5 Memphis BIRMINGHAM BOWL Saturday 12/22 @ 12:00 PM (EST)
Boston College +3 Boise State FIRST RESPONDER BOWL Wednesday 12/26 @ 1:30 PM (EST)
Georgia Tech -4 Minnesota QUICK LANE BOWL Wednesday 12/26 @ 5:15 PM (EST)
Duke +3 Temple INDEPENDENCE BOWL Thursday 12/27 @ 1:30 PM (EST)
Miami Florida -4 Wisconsin PINSTRIPE BOWL Thursday 12/27 @ 5:15 PM (EST)
Syracuse +7 West Virginia CAMPING WORLD BOWL Friday 12/28 @ 5:15 PM (EST)
UVA +4 South Carolina BELK BOWL Saturday 12/29 @ 12:00 PM (EST)
Clemson -11 Notre Dame Cotton Bowl Saturday 12/29 @ 4:00 PM (EST)
Virginia Tech +5½ Cincinnati MILITARY BOWL Monday 12/31 @ 12:00 PM (EST)
Pittsburgh +6½ Stanford SUN BOWL Monday 12/31 @ 2:00 PM (EST)
NC State +4½ Texas A&M GATOR BOWL Monday 12/31 @ 7:30 PM (EST)

We're only favored in 3 of 11 bowls; 12 if you count ND. And I don't like our chances to cover the spread in most of these either. It seems as though Vegas is giving the ACC teams too much respect. All of the spreads are 3 to 7 points except for Clemson. So, theoretically, out of 8 underdogs we should win a few.

The Pac 12, Big 12 and AAC all have a game on New Year's day. The ACC is the only top 6 conference shut out of New Year's day.

I'd rather be shut out of the NYD 6 than the Playoff like the PAC12 & BIG are.

If all our underdogs lose, the ACC would be 7-18 (28%) against P5 opponents going into the CFP championship game, and 26-26 against all FBS teams. Thank goodness for being 14-0 against the FCS.

Those spreads say what the regular season should have made obvious:

The only reason GT is favored is they fell so far in bowl selection they're playing a 6-6 team out of the B1G West, which is perhaps the only division stinkier than the ACC Coastal. Also Minnesota played a bunch of nobodies OOC. They went 3-6 in the B1G.

RE: 2018 ACC Bowls
As bad as the ACC looked in the regular season, if they can have a winning bowl season - that's all most people will even remember.
