4 Michigan players bypassing bowl game didn’t help. I understand why they do it but it deminishes these bowl games. Props to Florida, they played well.

Not surprising but The Big Ten is super slow....
Always enjoy watching the southern teams run away from The Big Ten.
No matter how many times it happens the media will keep telling us how great The Big Ten is.
Sad but true...

BTW I think Auburn just scored on Purdue again..lol

Loved the tweet that went out after the Auburn-Purdue game which said Ohio State should be banned from next year's CFP as well as this year's for losing to Purdue. 03-lmfao

Cheers,
Neil

What? Did you suddenly become a prognosticator? I hope you haven't given notice for your old job!

I am picking the major games. But I don't bet, LOL.

And that folks is why Ohio St is not in the playoffs...

UVA 28
USC 0

and you were saying? LOL

Bowl games can have some crazy outcomes...as the ACC lost twice to the B1G this bowl season...and Auburn ran roughshod over Purdue.

South Carolina is much worse than 6th in the SEC. The SEC usually punches up in the Belk Bowl. The worst thing about USCe is that they were not only trending down but lost their "only" play maker to the draft. I figured the SEC would lose this one. IMO it was the worst match up for us going into the bowls. And USCe has not recruited well enough this year to keep pace even in the SEC East. I wssn't surprised that GT lost, and I thought the Wisconsin game would be closer.

All that bowls ever really indicate is where each conference was stong or weak. The ACC's bottom was stronger this year, your top was weak due to F.S.U. being down and Va Tech and Miami both stumbling during different parts of the season. The Big 10 was deeper in the middle this year, putrid at the bottom and very thin at the top. The PAC was massive in the middle with maybe nothing at the top. Alabama was a notch above a fairly strong top of the SEC, but the SEC was weaker at the bottom this year. So far the bowls are bearing that out.

It should be pointed out that Mullen is a solid coach. He inherited a cluster mess from two woeful coaches, one of which is responsible for the Gamecocks goose egg today. Muschamap is a solid DC. He doesn't have the people skills or meticulous nature required to be the top guy.

Things are not looking good for Cocky. Clemson is hot, Georgia is too, and Florida and Tennessee will be getting better as will Kentucky. My Muschamp stock is at a sell.

I have zero idea how Will Muschamp has continued to get good jobs in the SEC. He must have some serious dirt on somebody at SEC headquarters, only thing i can figure.

It's like when Matt Millen was able to stay in the Detroit Lions front office seemingly forever, despite pratfall after pratfall.

For Muschamp he's been a coordinator for enough current head coaches that may be why. For Millen in Detroit he might have known a few others who liked Happy Valley showers.

The evaluation of what happens in their bowls will sort it out.

So far, it looks like Florida was likely the 3rd best. Have no idea where 7th "maybe 6th" best came from.
they were one of the 4 teams that finished at 5-3 for 3rd.

Definitely not as good as Michigan, the unquestioned 2nd best team from the Big Ten....

It's definitely not what the Big Ten needed here.

Kentucky dominated Florida. Florida did beat LSU but LSU looked better in the rest of conference play. Sec was Alabama, Georgia, LSU/a&m, uk, then Florida. Michigan was obviously overrated. I figured Florida was even more overrated, but obviously not. Michigan was so much slower.

even if Florida was 3rd or 4th- having 3rd/4th team from SEC beat 2nd team from Big Ten by 26 points is lunacy.

Missouri beat Florida up in the swamp as well.
