Duke beat ND in South Bend (2016).

ND has some good road trips in 2019...Labor Day in Louisville, Michigan, Georgia, & Stanford.

While still far from SEC Network numbers, ACC carriage is growing rapidly thanks to ESPN/Disney. Putting on a few games like GT/Clemson and ND/Duke certainly helps, as does the winning bowl record (so far - just don't get swept Monday, ACC!). Another successful basketball season followed by a good baseball season and that should do the trick, I think...

might see some big news with the ACC Network the next few days. Verizon Fios and Disney came to an agreement.. Details aren't known yet, but could easily include the ACC network....

They still need to land Comcast, Spectrum, and DirecTV

Absolutely. That said, I'm confident Spectrum and DirecTV before next Fall, and Comcast is likely in time (but their contract is the only one not up for renewal, IIRC).

BTW, go ahead and move Verizon to the "believed all-in" group.

They'll all be in sooner or later. There's a few months to go and Disney is turning the screws...um...working their magic.

The question to me is how profitable the project will be and will that lead to more realignment?

Also, do the SEC and ACC Networks get bundled together to make it more likely they both get carried out of market?

Comcast is huge isn't it? I understand that they are prevalent in Florida, Georgia (particularly the Atlanta area) Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. This is one of the reasons why I was looking for only a modest first year for the ACCN even assuming both DirecTV and Spectrum come on board by the August.

Spectrum I believe is prevalent in New York, North Carolina, and South Carolina. I believe Virginia may be Verizon but could be wrong there. Not sure at all about Kentucky.

Dish/Sling TV will probably just add the ACCN to its Sling Sports Extra package or Dish's 120 plus package where the SECN currently resides on both.

It will be interesting to follow this throughout the spring and summer.

Cheers,
Neil

RE: ND vs Duke to be on ACC network
Comcast and Cox are big in VA. Spectrum is the big dog in NC with Altice having a presence in the Greenville market and some of other markets near the VA border. Comcast and Spectrum are the big players in SC and I believe Comcast has Atlanta. Not sure about more rural/coastal Georgia. Spectrum is big in Florida ever since they got Brighthouse.

I think Comcast will be the toughest nut to crack. Dish and Disney seem to get along very well and Spectrum would be hard pressed not to add it as the dominant carrier of Tobacco Road.

AT&T/DirecTV is 2nd on my list but outside of Pac12 and Dodgers they generally add new sports networks, especially from Disney ESPN
