RE: Wilkie Has Passed Away
In this year's ACC Pick'em contest, Wilkie was in contention late in the season. When he inadvertently submitted his picks late in Week 11, the other contenders for the title graciously and unhesitatingly allowed Wilkie's entries to count so he wouldn't be disqualified from the contest. He greatly appreciated that gesture, and I am so glad we were able to make it for him. He ultimately finished in second place, just one win behind the champion. He was tickled about that. We will miss him.

That was a very nice gesture towards him in his final days. He was only 69 and still had a lot of life left for him to enjoy.

Wilkie and the southern miss alum, eagle in yune, used to have some epic trash talking battles on the old killerfrogs cusa board when Louisville was rumored to be going to the BE but there was a long delay (a lot of posters migrated here when TCU joined the WAC). Thing I remember about Wilkie is that he always did the stirring the pot emoji.

I remember the Killerfrogs board. That was a fun board with anything goes smack talk.
Eagle in Yune was one of the WORST posters ever. But it was fun smacking him around.

Seemed like everyday during the in between period when the BE rumors started and the formal announcement Yune would post "Louisville, where is the offer" and Wilkie and several others would respond in a back and forth that usually escalated quickly.

I seem to recall that he used to be quite prolific over on collegesportsinfo.com before that board fell into disuse. He will be missed.

Here's a coffee emoji in his honor and memory.

Rest in Peace, Wilkie. Thanks for enriching our lives with your witty banter and lively debate style. We'll miss you.

One more cup of coffee for you, my friend. 07-coffee3

I extend my condolences to his family and friends that knew him away from this board. They will also be in my thoughts and prayers.

Yes, I have used the coffee emoji for a few years now, but I "stole" it from Wilkie.
