MyBB NCAA Tournament Seed Watch Thread
Looks like the AAC will put 4 teams in with maybe a 5th if Memphis can win out.

Houston- 2-3 seed. Locked as the #1 3 seed if they win out. Could move up to a 2 if anyone stumbles.

Cinci- 6-7 seed. There doesn’t appear to be much Cinci can do to move into a 5.

Temple- 10-12 range. Lots of room for movement here.

UCF- 10-12. Bubble team. Could end up in a bad placement.

Memphis- 1st 4 out. Could sneak in if Martin continues on his tear. Everyone loves a cinderella.

NIT- Memphis, WSU, USF

HuskyU can tag along with WSU as an Emotional Support Animal.

If Memphis, Cincy or UCONN had the same record on the same schedule as Houston they'd be a sure 2 seed and borderline 1 seed. Maybe I'm wrong.

Huh?

PS. Temple and UCF are praying that Gonzaga wins the WCC tourney, Nevada wins the MWC tourney, Buffalo wins the MAC tourney, Washington wins the Pac 12 tourney, Wofford wins the Southern tourney and VCU wins the A10 tourney. Also Belmont and Lipscomb.

that wouldn't be the place to show that as the matrix only shows the 68 teams projected in by everyone, and Memphis isn't there yet. But they are getting on more and more folks 1st 4/1st 8 out. if they beat Cincy this weekend, things get really interesting for them.

Memphis' best OOC win is Yale. IMO they need to win out (Cincy & Tulsa) and make it to the AAC Final to have any kind of a chance.

I think Houston will end up a 3 seed, but if they beat Cincinnati at Cincinnati they'll be a 2 seed.

It all hinges on the big 12 and how many of those schools get teams in. None of them are worthy IMO. I suffered through the OU/ISU game and then the KSU/KU game. All teams were hot trash. If the B12 can be limited to 4-5 teams instead of 7-8 I think Memphis gets in.

We are 53 in the net rankings right now. I really don't think I'd get this in at this point but also at this point Memphis' Destiny is in its own hands in my opinion. in other words win enough and we could get an at-large.

gary parrish on their "inside college basketball" on cbssports last nigh thinks the Memphis loss is survivable as long as you beat ucf

The UCF USF game tonight is big not only for UCF but also for Memphis. It gets us a chance to get in the top four and a bye in the AAC tournament.

Big for USF also. USF isn't safely in the NIT yet and needs this win, not only to bolster NIT claim, but enhance our seeding for AAC tournament, to hopefully make a run at NCAAT.

UCF win tonight pretty much clinches 5th place or better for us. Would give USF 8 losses. They’d own the tie breaker over us if we both finish 10-8, but let’s be realistic - Tulsa isn’t beating us at home on senior night.

If UCF does not win this game tonight I think Memphis gets the four spot. UCS next three games are at Houston, Cincinnati, and at Temple. They could easily lose all three of those games.

Should be a fun tournament. Hopefully it being in Memphis will push us over the edge for a nice run.

RE: NCAA Tournament Seed Watch Thread
Memphis is starting to realize its potential. With the conference tourney on their home court and the way Jeremiah is playing they can definitely win it all. Don't agree with the idea that the conference could get 6 teams in though. 5 max and probably only 4 but 3 isn't even out of the question at this point. There are several conferences that could wind up producing bid thieves so there may not be as many at-larges available.
