Stick it in Wichita, it will sell-out no matter the time slot, and we won’t even complain about it.
WSU plays in a 10,000 seat gym, a little different than playing in a 18,000 arena. And no, I'm not complaining, not at all, just a statement based from a business point of view. And yes, I will be in attendance for all the games even the WSU games.
lol ok.
I wouldn't count 10,000 seats (sold out most games btw) as a gym.
Tulane plays in a gym. UH, one could argue plays in a gym (I think~5500 seats?)....10,000 seats is an arena.
lol typical Memphis comment.
I wonder how many of those 18,000 seats got filled up last year.
How many times has the arena been full? Um 17+ is about as big a crowd as its been (last night against Tulsa, 17,611). Averaging 15-16K per game. Look, I'm not on here to get into one of those attendance p!$$ing matches, I just made a statement regarding the Tigers playing the late game based from a business decision stand point. Actually, I think the conference tourney SHOULD be played at a neutral site every year. So anyway, y'all come on down to Memphis, should be a fun tourney. Serious question, how many WSU fans are expected to be here for the tourney?
I expect 1k.
Edit: And that was kind of my point of saying stick in Wichita. If it was a “business” decision then Wichita would probably bring the most money. But it’s not. You were thrown a huge advantage and then you make a complaint about it.

Look, I'm not complaining, I just made a statement that the home team getting the nite game would be a smart business decision pertaining to attendance and a good tv look for the conference with a big crowd. I'd say the same thing if the tourney was being played in Wichita or any other school in the conference. Like I said, no complaining, glad as hell it is in Memphis, and I'll be at FEF for every game that's played, not just the Memphis games but all the games, looking forward to it, each and every one of them. GO TIGERS!

Yeah, I think 1000 is a fair guess. If we were having a better year it would probably be more. The drive to Memphis is as easy as the drive to STL, with the added bonus of not having to drive through the turdhole of Columbia, MO.

The drive to Memphis is two hours longer than St. Louis, isn't it

Yeah, about two hours longer, but all interstate or four lane if you go through Tulsa and Little Rock. 8 1/2 hours of drive time.
