Cue angry Houston and ECU fans in 3, 2, 1...

I mean, I would have given Cumberland the award all the way up to this past Saturday. If votes had to be in before the Sunday game, then this isn’t shocking. Kind of dumb if votes had to be in before the UH/Cincy game.

Yetna was definitely the coldest freshman. ICI C'EST... USF!

All 3 were deserving of POY. Reminds me of 2014 with Shabazz/Russ Smith/Kilpatrick.

I won't blame UH fans for being a little annoyed, but it's a pretty hollow victory for Cumberland I'm sure after this past weekend.

Still, he's not undeserving, just maybe not the best choice with the way things went down the stretch.

I just hope this lights a fire under Cumberland as UC finishes out the season.

It literally came down to Sunday for me. If votes were in before Sunday, then is this really a surprising choice? Cumberland was everything to that UC team.

Glad to see the right person won Player of the Year.

Heard that Davis came in 3rd.

I would assume you need to win Conference Coach of the Year in order to win National Coach of the Year.

Some one disputed that. Mick says that’s what he believed however he had his tram handle it.

Apparently it was due Sunday night.

Congrats to jarron.

The only JR in the running and by most accounts will return next season.
