NOLA is a terrible basketball town. The people just didn't care back when I was in school 10 years ago.

Wichita has the 5th highest minimum season ticket price. Which is apparently a bad thing for their rankings.

I love how they went all “nearest town” here because Lorman was apparently too small to register on their survey...even though its university is apparently top ten material lol. But hey, the Golden Girls and Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite are worth the price of admission. I can’t imagine anyone would be making the trip for a basketball team that went 6-21 with a NET of 348, though.

Wichita seems like a decent basketball city. Orlando has to be a little higher than 201.

Really you're being too kind. Even the most casual college basketball fan would have to roll his eyes at some of the rankings in this list. I mean are the guys at wallethub.com (lol) even paying attention?

Cincinnati too low. On any given night Cincinnati is putting 12k in their arena, Xavier is packing 10k in their’s and Northern Kentucky puts 5k in theirs. Plus there are a lot of people who passionately root for Kentucky and some other schools.

This has to be one of the stupider list I've ever seen. What criteria does this non-basketball site use? Pretty sure it's not related to either basketball attendance or basketball interest or basketball history.

Well Wichita State is number 258. Think about that for a minute.

Any list that doesn’t have Memphis & Wichita in the top 25 college hoops cities is bogus and dumb. Tiger basketball is the #1 sport in town & there’s s good # of SEC fans around too. I know WSU fans are rabid and I’m sure there’s plenty of KU fans in Wichita too.

RE: Best College Basketball cities in the US for 2019
To find 2019’s top spots for NCAA hoops, WalletHub crunched the numbers on more than 280 U.S. cities using nine key metrics. They range from the number of teams per city and the winning percentage of each to stadium capacity and social-media engagement. You can find the results below, followed by a Q&A with a panel of leading college basketball experts. If you disagree with where the data led us, tell us why in the Comments section. Make sure to also check out WalletHub's March Madness Stats & Facts infographic for fun and interesting stats about the matchup.

Not individual programs, the entire city is evaluated.

You can also break them apart by size for a better comparison. Of course that would require you to actually read the article and not just ***** about.the rankings.

I read the article. The methodology isn’t very sound.

Stadium accessibility? How is that even measured much less relevant.

I read the self stroking article. It doesn't change the fact that ranking Wichita 258 is 5 * stupid.
