RE: Selection Show Thread
So Memphis gets San Diego at home and then winner of Loyola Chi and Creighton. I expect the tigers to be hosting Loyola. Winner of that is probably looking at playing TCU or maybe Butler.

Wichita on the road to Furman. Tough match up but Wichita has been playing great lately. Winner is probablay facing Clemson. Although Wright St could upset the tigers and give the shock a home game.

Not a bad draw NCAA or NIT. Half the league is post season and could have easily been eight teams.

Waiting on the CIT/CBI bracket releases. USF fans are sure they're headed there.

Nevermind I guess Wichita is Tuesday too.

That's a quick turn around to get the team there and the courts ready with the changes for the NIT

I was very confident nc state would miss. 353 out of 353 Nonconference sos. Sub 300 non conference sos is a death sentence to bubble teams.

Also no real power 6 talk on CBS sport.

Sounds like we are in negotiations and CBS just flexed on us.

Got to say I did not like it.

Not bad--50% of the conference made the NCAA Tourney or the NIT. AAC basketball definitely trending in the right direction.

Cinci really got a gift in the bracket. I hope they continue to play like they have been. They could really make a nice run.

Maybe...CBS is the mover and shaker for the sport I think we will find easiest to compete for a national title in. So taking knocks by them won't be beneficial.

I think it is more likely we are still in negotiations with them for second tier rights. This was a little 'nice basketball conference you got there, be a shame if someone beat up on it' protection play.

I also think Aresco has been using NBC as a lever to try and pry better exposure/money out of everyone. Really no NBC coverage for 'bracketology' although with us and the A10 they could put together a nice weekend line up for basketball. My feeling has always been ESPN doesn't want it all. It wants the tip top and the cheap lower end. The middle stuff they have plenty of inventory that will equal up to what we can offer. For NBCsports or CBSsports though that's the meat and potatoes they need to get by, so the market is there just not as lucrative; although our top end does have value for NBC outright as well and probably discouraged low ball offers from ESPN.

This would be a logical way for them to get their point across that NBC can do little to help our basketball side. If I'm Aresco I try to spin it though. See if I can get locals or friendly national media to point out how silly excluding the AAC is with the PAC arguably last year being lower and with out a doubt being a step down this year. Taking into account seeding, bids, and overall postseason play a case can be made the AAC is superior to the Big East this year as well. Next year will likely be more of the same for the AAC so they wouldn't even have to stick.their becks out further than they normally do this sort of stuff.

Houston will beat Georgia state.

But Demarcus Simonds will be either the 3rd best or the 2nd best player on the floor, depending on which version of Simonds shows up.

That dude can ball. And Georgia state gave us hell last year for a half. , and a few years ago upset a high seed.

They won’t be just happy to make it. They will be playing to advance and simonds plays bully ball like Cumberland

Georgia St is Houston but not quite as good. Houston should win then face a good challange to get to sweet 16. After that I like them vs both one and two seeds. Bad match up for most American teams they aren't one for houston.
