Really enjoyed Memphis. Beale Street is such a cool area. The National Civil Rights Museum is incredible, I could spend all day in there and I think I’d still miss some stuff. The Pyramid > the Arch
Mentioned it in a throwaway post in another topic but Memphis fans are the nicest fan base I have ever come across by far and I have interacted with dozens of fanbases across NCAA tournaments and road games. I wasn’t expecting that with all you internet dillholes. My one disappointment is that I thought I was going to experience a peak FedExForum crowd. I’ve been to a few soldout arenas and always like to compare them. Based on the noise with the attendance yesterday I could see FEF being a really loud and crazy venue when packed. Wish I could have seen it.
Glad to be back in a conference with the Shockers.
Some of us are old enough to remember the MVC days with WSU, Bradley, Drake, Cincy, St Louis, Louisville, etc, etc, etc. A BB road trip to any 2 of WSU/Drake/Bradley was almost impossible to come back unscathed.
there was a time the Mo Valley was LEGIT

For sure. It was the premier league at one time. Known as the Valley of Death for a reason. Sad at how far one of the oldest conferences in the country has fallen.

RE: Wichita State Fans
It was a solid conference even in modern history. Before Creighton left it was rarely outside the top 7/8 conferences. Had 4 teams in the dance in 2006. Then when Creighton left it dropped to top 10-12, and a real hinderance for the top team to get a good seed. Now with both CU and WSU gone it is outside of the top half of D1 conferences, with only an autobid at the 14-16 seed line.
Stick a fork in the MVC, it ain’t ever coming back. Write a eulogy.

It’s still the Valley of Death.
