Go back and look at the thread in smack where some of those cornfielders actually thought Lomax would still go there. Its worth a good laugh.

You and forever are the most transparent posters on this board. This all boils down to you guys being entirely wrong about Penny so you both need and have been looking for a reason to throw some kind of shade. Yes attendance was down and I don't know why. If you look at history it wouldn't suggest that was going to happen. Both of you sat back, did not attend and bitched the whole weekend. No tournament location will ever be perfect, just try to make it fun for the fans and the players, and if home court got us an extra team in the dance, is it really soooo terrible.

Since you made a claim, go ahead and point out where I was wrong about Penny.

You're an ignorant homer and have let MemTigers1998 influence his false propaganda around and you're eating it up like the typical Memphis fan you are.

You, him, and a bunch of others are why many people here want Penny and Memphis to fail. You guys literally have one big circle jerk and hold your ears and say lalalala at any sort of resemblance of reality and differing opinions.

If I took the time to research your old post that involves Penny my wife would leave me.

I'm not nearly as ignorant as you are transparent, I can tell this eats at you, even in your sleep. It's ok man, you can be wrong about Penny. The Tigers and shockers can both have success.

Get the f*** over the lomax thing.
This is where all this started.

Penny can coach and develop players. Get over it.
Let it go

LOL, I don't give one **** about Lomax. I'm happy with Jamarius Burton and the 4 star PG we have coming in next year, but once again, you come in assuming and making an ass out of yourself.

This is a Memphis theme.

A team with a bunch of freshman that finished one game behind a bunch of seniors.

I guess that's one way to spin it. Unfortunately for you, you'll have basically the same team next year. Our talent level is gonna go up just slightly. 03-lmfao

Talent up .. sure. Experience ... WAY down. Experienced teams are what win championships.

Yes, Duke and Kentucky look pretty awful right now. Wait, didn't a Kentucky team full of FR beat your undefeated experienced team in the 1st weekend?

Look up the last few national title games. Very few first year players started on any of those teams.

Houston, SMU, Tulsa, Tulane, and probably Memphis (just guessing) have a worse traveling fanbase than Northern Iowa. Which makes Memphis and Fort Worth decent locations but they won’t have a lot of fans. Any location involving them is not going to result in a packed house. How many Temple fans went to the UConn tournament? If it was less than 1k disregard them also. Did UConn sell out their games in the UConn tournament? If not, disregard them. USF, ECU, and UCF fans aren’t going to pack any houses.

Solution: rotate between Wichita and Cincinnati (and possibly Hartford)

No one, to my knowledge, objects to Wichita hosting the Tourney. The city and school, however, failed to offer a better package (e.g., more money) than Ft. Worth.

Probably didn't have much of a chance to bid. They were in the middle of making the conference change at best. They accepted in April of '17. Ft Worth was announced as the location in mid August '17. Usually takes a couple months after bids to announce so at best the offers were submitted about the time Wichita was invited. More likely about the time conference play started in 2017. Before Wichita could announce their move if they knew it was happening.

If so, the AAC was negligent in signing a three year deal rather than one year. Competition is healthy and Wichita might have out-bidded Ft. Wort. Besides the money, playing in Wichita would allow schools other than WSU a chance to improve their NET when playing the Shockers.

Wichita could possibly be "neutral" per the net. If we bid it would be for Intrust Bank arena. Since we only play 1 game there, I'm not sure if they would call it home for the tourney.

Yep, not as good as 2014 when Louisville had heavy attendance, but still better than anywhere else since then.

6 sessions, average.

2019 Memphis 7600
2018 UCF 8300

03-nutkick

Lowest attended UCF 7800 would be second highest at Memphis. The next lowest is 7,900 no other game below 8k
Highest attended Memphis 8000

03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

i think you are comparing tickets sold (orlando) to tickets scan (memphis)

there were never 8300 in orlando, wife and i went to all sessions, the last 2 years, the most was around 3.5-4 k, the whole upper section was curtained off

Bwahahahahahaha......

No, I'm using the same official number for both.

Memphis didn't turn out. You all bricked it. You sucked. UCF had better basketball support at an off campus arena then you did. UConn was better than you and not much worse the other time.

Memphis talked and talked. As usual it turned into nothing.

Accept it, move forward. Take a bunch of people with you to Ft. Worth next year.

Back to attendance smack because your team sucks on the court. But football will be here before you know it so you and the other 237 season ticket holders can go out and watch the Tigers run you off the field again

It's not smack. It's just facts. And you have a major problem dealing with them.
