Womens Bracket (ESPN mistake)
ESPN accidentally revealed the women's bracket earlier today.

UConn a 2 seed, Louisville is their 1, in Albany.

Opposite half is UCF a 12 vs Arizona St a 5. Their 1 is Miss St, in Portland.

Tenn barely keeps streak alive.

AAC play certainly doesn't do the UCONN any resume favors. But what matters most is being in Albany. With that said, this is the toughest region for UCONN in quite some time.

Next year that should change.

UCF seems to be building something as does Houston (whose head got a little too big with some success) USF will be USF, injuries hurt them. Cincy seems to be chugging along under the new coach and I expect them to be good again. Hopefully Tulane can get over the Jecklye and Hyde of their youth this year which cost them being a top 100 team. Tulsa should improve a small bit, if Temple does too they both will be top 150 as they finished just outside of it. ECU seems to have some talent but the whole coaching carousel in year stunted them just as they grew. So I think we have three maybe four top 50 teams next year (UConn, USF, and Cincy, maybe Houston) two or three top 50-100 (Houston, Tulane, maybe UCF) and three 150ish teams (Tulsa, Temple, ECU) so that's a pretty decent 8/12. Wichita was super young and should improve, Memphis will hopefully improve, as will SMU. Those three in the top 200 will make a big dent overall although not individually.

With UConn's normal OOC the league should really fill in nicely and maybe even help with quality wins. Next year will be interesting to see who gets more bids/post season men or women.

Selection Committee Chair just said strength of conference was the determining factor in keeping them on the 2 seed line.

Maybe more of a the other conference was so good.

Missippi State seems to have gotten more big time wins headed in.

Hopefully this will be a non-issue as the league looks to take a big step forward.

Nope. UCONN's overall SOS was higher than Mississippi State's.

I meant they played more top notch teams and had the opportunity to climb. Beating Tulsa's brains in doesn't compare to getting a nice win over S.C. seems the quality games at the end pushed Mississippi St past UConn. Next year will hopefully give UConn a few better wins to roll into the tournament on, maybe not ACC quality but good enough to add to the resume and help, instead of hurting it.
