Which begs the question - why is Louisville even in the tournament?

Valid point.

I was about to say hopefully they'll be gone soon, but I'm not sure I want either to win.

LSU is presently overwhelming Yale in a tsunami of talent.

It's a 3-14 game between an SEC champion and an Ivy Champion. Not sure that's surprising, even considering the subtle point you were trying to make.

LSU leads at the half, 45-29.

Memphis played both LSU (a loss) and Yale (a win) this season.

It is not surprising. Talent level is the single most important (but not the only factor) factor for success.

When the talent disparity is that large, it's not a question. The question is when the gap is considerably smaller and then other "things" come into play.

You're stretching here with this comparison.

Any wins this year by LSU will be vacated so Yale technically can't lose.

On my way to lunch the Sports Animal - Tulsa had Kelvin Sampson on for a chat. I missed the beginning, but I think they talked UH and then his past with OU and even brought up him coaching LaVar Ball for a season at Wherever State way back in the day.

Conversation on cbs radio this morning saying that if you take Zion off the Duke team, They don't even make the Sweet 16. That's with Coach K running the team.

So the now the conversation shifts to comparisons with one of the biggest freaks in recent history (a Lebron type of player)?

You could take the best player off any team and its going to drastically hurt said teams chances of advancing in the tourney.

Who's shifting?

You and 83's last two comparisons were extreme situations and outliers when trying to convey the talent > coaching mantra.

WhoseHouse also brought up an even better point that taking any team's best player away is gonna drastically cut down on their chances of advancing.
