I think Tribal went a little over the line bashing other posters as this thing went (is going) down, but he does a good job overall. We are a small group of passionate fans.

Tribal used some pretty inflammatory language that I expect from idiots like me -- but not as much from a moderator.

And he did not care when that kind of language from him (and others) pushed some smart, loyal Tribe fans away from the board. Some of them still have not returned (as far as I can see).

He even threatened (however obliquely he may claim) to ban anyone who criticized him.

He also repeatedly claimed not to care about what anyone said -- as he responded to everything they said -- usually with insults.

And, worst of all (perhaps), he said my opinions did not matter, because I was old! Quelle Horreur!!! FWIW, Tribal, I will buy you a beer of your choice in the 'Burg if you can guess my age within 2 years.

So, do I think a "moderator" should do these things? No.

But he did change the title and lead-in post of the "FIRE HUGE" thread to the more moderate "civil discussion" thread. Which, corny and tongue-in-cheek as it probably was, actually helped the discussion (imho). Plus, his (and everyone's) posts seem to be a lot less fiery the last couple of days. And he does a good job overall.

I definitely would not vote to oust him. But, if anyone wants to take on the thankless crap he deals with (it sure as heck ain't me), I'd be happy to add more good Tribe fans to help him out.

We all get passionate and say things we may regret, I know I am also guilty. When we have only one Mod who is really reading the posts, this put us at risk of the tone of the Board getting out of control as these comments state when the Mod is also unhappy. This does not mean the Mod should not have the right to be upset but eliminates a check and balance with only one Mod.

I agree Tribal works tirelessly for this Board and should be a Mod while supporting a check and balance of a second Mod to help Tribal out in his thankless quest to help all of us share our thoughts about the Tribe with civil discourse. Maybe add Rocco who Tribal supports or Zablenoise… maybe both?
