I'm at the same time livid at the no-call on the hook and hold. We've had players hit with a Flagrant foul multiple times on the exact same thing and this doesn't even get called. It's easy to put back a layup when our nearest player to the ball is being held by a Duke player.

That was an awesome performance by UCF, you should be extremely proud. That game vaulted into my top 1004-cheers best games ever that I have watched and I'm in late 60's, get them next time.....

11.9 tv rating

The game had the second-highest rating in that time slot in the 29 years since the tournament expanded to its current format.

It wasn’t a national championship game but UCF fans now know what it’s like to be Chalmers’d or Valavano’d like the Tigers and Coog fans. Just a sickening feeling.

What a game UCF! It was a tremendous basketball game to watch as a fan of basketball. You guys looked like a top 10 team in that game. This Southern Miss fan felt horrible for your players, coaches, and fans when that it was over.

Here’s what Gregg had to say about the game:

Quote:Q. Speak to the American Athletic in light of UCF nearly knocking off Duke.

GREGG MARSHALL: They did knock off Duke, didn't they? That's what I saw (smiling).

UCF/Duke game TV audience even surpassed the TV numbers/viewers for UCF's 3 recent NYD6 Bowl Game and easily became the most watched UCF Game in history.

Given the rating, it’s likely the game had more viewers than any UCF Football game ever, besting the 2014 Fiesta Bowl by a wide margin. The final half-hour of the UCF-Duke game which was in the primetime 7pm hour garnered 16.18 million viewers according to TVByTheNumbers.com.

Here is a breakdown.

UCF vs. Duke (NCAA Tournament): 8.8 rating/ 12.88 million viewers
UCF vs. Baylor (2014 Fiesta Bowl): 6.6/11.3 million
UCF vs. LSU 2019 Fiesta Bowl: 5.0/8.4 million
UCF vs. Auburn (2018 Peach Bowl: 5.0/8.3 million
UCF vs usf (Black Friday on ABC 2017): 3.2/4.7 million

I know that Duke drove a lot of the ratings, but having UCF put on that showing with that kind of audience really repped the AAC and UCF. I am not a basketball fan' but that game had me getting emotional till the end.

I thought that game exemplified the concept of "matchup problems." It's not just an academic topic of discussion for tv analysts.

UCF took the #1 overall seed into OT, and
IMO, would cleary have won easily without Tacko's foul trouble.

He made King Zion look like a child. How do you prepare as a Coach, or an Official, for a guy that's 7' 6"?....a 40th tallest man on the planet?

Get him in foul trouble, that's about the only game plan, and hope the refs buy the fouls you're selling them, lol.
