Will be interesting to see if this will continue to be a focus for Brannen, or if it’s mostly due to trying fill positions late in the process in his first year. I feel like he’s going to be more active in the Transfer market than we have been in the past.

Cats don’t win 89 games without Kyle and Cane, yet Mick didn’t have anybody ready to go last year. I never understood the last two recruiting cycles.

Those guys were sit out transfers though. For better or for worse the grad transfer would have helped us back in 2006 when Mick took over, but the Juco route was his option back then. Assuming Brannen has more than 2 or 3 spots to fill, the grad transfer is likely an option for one one or maybe two of them. At this point in the recruiting cycle, there just aren't many 2019 guys left. Best to rent a guy or two for the year.

IUPUI grad transfer Camron Justice told @Stadium he visited Western Kentucky yesterday, will visit Cincinnati tomorrow. Also looking at Northwestern, Michigan, Virginia Tech and Iowa State. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 18.6 points this past season.

Per Jeff Goodman looks like a pretty good shooter

Was a 4-Star out of high school who originally played at Vandy. Had 42.5% FG percentage, including 35.2% from beyond the arc. Was Mr. Kentucky Basketball a few years back.

#17 on the list fwiw...

Going to WKU:

Word is Penn State freshman transfer Rasir Bolton is making a visit to Cincinnati.. eligible for 3 years but will likely have to sit out.

The guard is #20 on ESPN's transfer rankings and averaged 11.6 last year shooting 36% from beyond the arch. Looks like a good contribution replacement for when Jarron leaves.

I think we have a few players in on visits today. Hopefully that means we end up signing a couple today, though I’m not expecting any huge names this year.

That said, grabbing a player with 3 years eligibility coming off a Freshman Season they averaged double figures in the Big 10 would seem like a pretty good pick up.

Bolton reportedly had a UC offer coming out of HS.

Good find; thanks for sharing. A pretty solid offer list too.

Maybe when Brannen gets one signed, those out on the ledge fearing the demise of UC basketball forever can exhale and step back in.

Grad transfer. #20 on the OP list. 3 point shooter. Started against us in Mick's last game which I'm sure we'd all like to forget.

He was a three star in high school (247 sports) at 6'9" then had a big growth spurt to 7'1". Not sure if Brannen has interest in him or vice versa but if he sat a year he might became a great back up player like Jeff Scott was with Huggins.
