Dude, are you serious? The d was lights out considering they were on the field the entire second half. I would bet that no other CUSA defense would have held them to 14 or 21.

If our offense had a fkn pulse we wouldve been much better.

a better offense and not quite so good defense. You could see Marshall's defense was ready and pumped up from the start and no team plays a whole season that way. So I will wait and see Marshall vs a team or two more before crowning them east winners. But I .m 100% sure their offense will improve.

The question is...how much

I wouldn’t crown us anything... We could easily lose our next 3 games(Solich always out coaches Doc, Cinci is solid, and we always struggle at MTSU). That happens and our wheels fall off and we’re looking at 2016 pt 2: electric boogaloo.

I wouldnt say lights out, Boise had several good drives, Marshall got those two turnovers, one in the red zone. Then the final drive where Marshall couldnt stop Boise and they ran the clock out.

Boise dominated the second half even though they didnt score

They did score on the first drive in the 2nd half. And it was there offense vs our defense, and our defense played as good a defensive game as possible. Those turnovers were forced. Mot hand outs, one a strip sack and the other a tipped to himself INT. Boise has the ball for 40 minutes. If our Defense gives half that effort in CUSA, we'll win it going away. But of course that's not saying much. I've never seen a weaker division 1 league as 2019 cusa. Never.

Other G5s are beating or pressing P5s all over the place and we're losing or getting taken to the final minutes by FCS teams.

Spot on with that statement.

Marshall's D was lights out. Ask FSU if Boise is legit or not. If you hold them to 14 points, you are lighting it up defensively. That's a top 25 team. Who else in the league holds Boise to 14?

Sorry man, Marshall did not played “as good as defensive game as possible”
I watched the whole game with unbiased eyes and Boise completely dominated that second half. The score was not indication of the dominant performance by Boise and Marshall was fortunate to only loss by 7. No need to score when someone can control the ball and TOP. And thats what Boise did the final 8 minutes of the game and the Marshall defense couldn’t stop them

After giving up 44 to ULM and getting by in OT against them, I don't think I would ask FSU much of anything. They are in for a very long season.

Marshall has a good team and should be looking to win the next 2 games. I think Boise is a better team than Ohio and Cincinnati and Marshall should be the clear favorite in the east.

Says the guy who's a fan of a team that let SMU ***** walk them for 60 minutes. UNT would lose to FSU. Just saying. Marshall has the best D in the conference right now period.

Marshall's D looked good.. The offense wasn't half bad either... My hat's off to the Herd.. I enjoyed that game and had hoped they could pull it off.
