Memphis bitched it's way to #1 in the West? I thought they had to win a football game or two to rise to the top.

I’m impressed with the team Tulane has built up. They’re not an easy win anymore and will be a contender moving forward if they continue to build on their momentum. Hopefully that also translates to building up a fan base in NOLA.

Yep, I agree. Tulane's Green Wave has risen with the AAC Tide. They're no longer an easy W, if even a W at all. Top to Bottom the AAC is digging some deep roots... College Game Day on Bourbon Street some day should be a fun attraction.

I still think ECU and Tulsa are on the precipice of becoming Bowl teams next season again. Houston and USF are kind of in that "Hiccup" period if the current coaching staff will survive much longer with current expectations...they won't stomach losing seasons very long. Which sucks for all of us in the AAC because that can happen to any one of us in any given season, all it takes is one wrong hire and suddenly we're struggling to stay Bowl eligible. We can't always hire Homerun coaches every few years as they inevitably move on to P5 HC positions.

Matt Rhule showed what Temple football can be, with College Game Day there in Philly a few years ago.

Memphis, UCF, Cincy, Navy, Houston, SMU and Temple seem to have risen to consistently floating in and out of the CFP Top 25, or consistently knocking on that door receiving votes.

Tulane deserves kudos for being the most improved FB team in the conference, and has helped the AAC achieve near-parity with some P5 teams this season.

Their MBB team has also shown signs of surpassing expectations.
