Anyone for Giving LaTech a Serious Look as All-Sport Member?
Since we only got a 2-Yr Exception from the NCAA for the division-less version of the Conference Championship Game, would anyone object to taking a close look at adding LaTech as an All-Sport Conference member?
If so, why? They went 9-3 in C-USA Football this year and could potential help garner a tie to the Independence Bowl ...

AAC would take Southern Miss before Tech.

No. The AAC only needs to add programs that increase revenues . We don't need more months to feed. The only programs that would raise our profile are football only Boise , BYU and Air Force . Basketball could be helped by VCU or Dayton. Maybe WSU will restart football and we can add VCU . I imagine something will break in the next year or so. In the end ESPN will have a major say in the process .

No.
Think strategically.
Does an addition add to the "P6" strategy of looking more like the five conferences ahead of us than the four behind come 2025/2026?
If the answer is no to the big question, then the answer is no to the addition question.

I would rather see Army join the AAC. I know their membership would alter the annual "Army-Navy Game" spectacle, but they are a geographical fit, they play one or two AAC teams in football each year, they have a decent national fan base, and they currently have a better football program than UConn. Maybe Aresco would consider having them join as a football-only school? I think adding any school at this point is a long shot...

They basically have a standing invite to join. Army does not appear to be interested—-but maybe they will change their mind. Frankly, my guess is the rules will change so that we won’t need a waiver to continue on with our 11 team divisionless CCG.
