guessing- Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Auburn? Almost surprised they didn't add Texas to that.

I heard a player say they had the 5th best defense. That's easy to understand-Auburn held them to 23, Georgia to 37, Miss.St. to 36 and then either Florida (42) or Alabama (46).

As for the coaches, they talk a lot of trash. The coaches were quoted as saying they had played 3 teams better than Georgia. Of course, Auburn, Florida and Alabama played them closer. But Georgia won convincingly over two of those so it was a pretty stupid, trashy comment.

None of the LSU coaches ever met Bear Bryant.

Bear also said if you lose congratulate the other team and make no excuses.

Then there is that other saying that nobody is quite sure who to attribute it to, "Statistics are for losers." Those two sayings go hand in hand. I hear a lot of that from the admins and coaches and fans of other conferences. But, not so much the Big 10. And I cringe when I hear it from an SEC source. You play the games and win or lose that's the only fact, stat, or story there is. Everything else is to sell newspapers, drive views or likes, and stir controversy. You would think Americans had this figured out, especially in sports and politics.

Was listening to an ESPiN show this morning and were talking about Riley doing that. I would stay at Oklahoma if I were him, unless the money was just too good.
