RE: The Tourney
Congrats on the win Huskies. Must be great having a competent coach. I am no longer staying for the championship game tomorrow evening and have my ticket. It’s in 105 row JJ seat 2. It’s a paper ticket and can’t put it on stubhub, seat geek etc. face value is $85 but want it to go to a good CAA hoops fan home and willing to part with it for $40 or best offer. Can give it to you at the game tonight. Thanks and good luck!

I appreciate the offer TU2012. Unfortunately, I can't go this year. I've gone to Charleston the last 2 years.

On to the finals! It is going to take a massive effort to beat Hofstra but we certainly know what's coming

We win and move on. So nice to get back to the finals despite the injuries and the players we lost from last year's team.

NU is playing with house money. All the pressure is on Hofstra. Can they finally seal the deal?

Bill Coen will outcoach Mihalich and an exhausted Pride squad tonight. Huskies win.

From your lips. What makes you say they are exhausted? Not questioning you, just curious. They have had a pretty easy road it seems. We also really struggle in tight games if it comes down to that so lots to worry about there

Mihalich only uses 6-7 guys in his rotation, with heavy minutes to the starters. We've seen this story before. Talented team makes it to the finals and then runs out of gas because of a lack of depth.

Money coming in on NU. line started at Hof -2, and has dropped to -1 this morning.

Might be people hedging their bets on Hofstra to win it all, though NU was a pretty popular pick to win it as well.

RE: The Tourney
We can win this game tonight. Roland has been invisible for the majority of this tournament so far, and everyone else has stepped up. Brace has been excellent. Shaq has been dynamic. Walker is becoming the stud we know he'll be. Max has been the key - his physicality and length surprise his opponents.

If Roland gets hot, we have a good shot.

Hofstra is a great shooting team, but suffer from lack of depth even more than us. Get them tired, maybe in foul trouble, and maybe they have an off shooting night. We know we can contest the 3-point shooters well.

Both of our games against them were close. We blew a 14 point 2nd half lead on Long Island last month. We know our guys believe they will win this game.

Pressure is on Hofstra. We need to tread carefully, clearly they've been the king of the conference this year. But let's punch 'em in the face.

It's funny because I really thought we would win each of the last two years. This time I don't have the same feeling of we will win, but certainly we can win, and if we hit our shots we'll have every opportunity to cut down the nets tonight.

Somebody, I think you are spot on in everything you said. With depth an issue both ways, the foul trouble will be huge. That is what killed us in the 2nd half in Long Island last month

Of course we can win this game ... but will we?

The achilles heel for this NU team has been winning close games. Even if we won half of the close losses in conference, we would feel a lot different about this team going into the tournament.

Roland can't have a bad game tonight for us to win or keep it close.

We have to leave everything on the line and accept the challenge of being the underdog ...

RE: The Tourney
I think the depth issue was truer about last year than this year. Last year in the finals we had our seven man rotation and one bench player played nineteen minutes and the other had twenty-one minutes. This year with Murphy out and Occeus and Gresham transferred we are just a tad deeper than Hofstra and probably about as tired as tired. I'm hoping that Roland has the big night he is overdue for. Fingers crossed.

PS. I was a little surprised to see Smith (our sixth guy) leave early in the second half and not get back on the court.

Walker out for a little bit to injury but back in. Think I've seen Pemberton shuffle his feet 3 times already before dribbling but the refs only call it on Max.

Roland cant get open. He will need to score if we are gonna win this thing. Tied at 28 with about 2:30 left in the 1st half.

30-28 lead at half. Roland with 3 points..

We are challenging Hofstra from the 3 point line very well.

Defense been pretty good, offense has struggled after the first 8 minutes or so.

Agreed, Hofstra was the better team and are very deserving champions. After the first 8 minutes, it felt like we were killing ourselves just to hold them off. They got smarter and asserted their will in the 2nd half and the dam finally burst. If we had played great or they had played poorly, it was there for the taking. I would have loved to get a 5-8 point lead with 10 minutes left and see how they responded to the game pressure but it was not to be.

Do we do CIT or CBI anymore or no? I know we did a few years back but don't think we do anymore
