So Alabama State vs Tx Southern can get their game on ESPNU but CUSA can't??
Just noticed that Alabama State vs Texas Southern Basketball is on ESPNU...how the hell are those schools able to get their games on ESPNU but CUSA can't? Has CUSA had any of their conference matchups on ESPNU this year?

I realize it's Monday and we usually have games on Thurs/Sat but if it all it takes is moving some conference games to Monday to have them on ESPNU then we should totally be doing that...I don't understand how 8-20 Alabama State vs 14-14 Texas Southern can get their games on ESPNU but CUSA can't...

North Texas played two conference games on ESPNU. Once in Bowling Green against Western Kentucky and then in Denton against Old Dominion.

I stand corrected. Looks like there were a total of FOUR CUSA conference games ON ESPNU this year: UNT @ WKU, LT @ UTSA, FIU @ ODU, & ODU @ UNT.

I guess what I don't understand is that during these bonus play weeks we have zero games on ESPNU yet I look up and see 8-20 Alabama State playing 14-14 Texas Southern on ESPNU...and I'm just like WTF? You mean to tell me Judy/CUSA couldn't have negotiated or worked something out so that CUSA could get one of our more top teams in bonus play in that time slot?!?? Same thing for this Thursday on ESPNU...you've got 16-14 NC A&T vs. 16-13 NC Central on ESPNU...CUSA couldn't get their top pod teams playing on that time slot?

As for our POD games not being televised it probably has to do with not knowing who and where said games are to be played. Most (all?) TV deals are made in advance.

Not a conference game but Charlotte hosted Wake in December and that game was on ESPNU.

Cusa needs to play on unusual days if we want games on real television. We can’t really do that though with our stupid travel partner scheduling.

I think what you guys are missing is that these telecasts were selected preseason, and yes POD play does have something to do with it, but there is a bigger point to be made. It's like a PSA of sorts to get some HBCU games on national tv. I don't understand it, but it is something they have done for a few years now. It's a shame really, because there is some really bad hoops played in the SWAC/MEAC. But make no mistake, if those were not HBCU schools, they would be destined for ESPN+. I mean the SoCon, who has proven itself to be a very competitive mid major league, can't even get the exposure the crappy SWAC/MEAC gets. Despite this exposure, you're starting to see some of the more stable programs from the MEAC leave for the BigSouth. Some interesting times indeed.

You been living under a rock all season and decade for CUSA hoops to just now realize this? I don't understand why we don't play Monday night on CBSSN, they were showing some PBR re run this past Monday....OVC has much better TV deal than we do.....Only conference that has worse TV deal is Sun Belt, I have not saw one sun belt game on TV. Interesting to me they have now gone to campus sites for first round and then neutral for semis and finals. This is what CUSA should be doing, but that means Judy would have to travel and not walk across the road...
