Given the events of the past week it's important to view this season in a new manner.

I hereby nominate Tim Jankovich for National Coach of the Year.
His novel and often maligned "Social Distancing Defense" was first tried vs. Georgetown and then gradually adapted into game plans on the road at Georgia and Vanderbilt. By the end of the season it became a Mustang trademark.

Continually derided, Jankovich persisted and the Social Distancing Defense evolved.
The future looks bright for both this defensive scheme and his offensive strategy of
"five around the perimeter hucking threes."

If basketball is to continue in the new "Coronavirus world" both of these must become the norm in the sport.

What foresight this guy has.
