I picked UConn. I think they go all-in with the Big East with basketball, soccer, and add men's lacrosse. I wouldn't be surprised if they invested a little more in hockey, too.

Are we talking dropping the sport entirely or going to FCS?

I picked ULM since they are the cheap skates in FBS.

Uakron is downsizing as a school. Athletics will be affected. If something doesn't happen with the G5 and MAC as a whole this year I'd guess we're downgrading football.

BTW, folks, it may sound inviting, but do not swim in the COVID-19 pool.

Don't know enough about New Mexico State and a few other teams, but selected none for 2020 season. Going out till 2021-2022 that it would be interesting. FYI. Do not see UMass dropping out of FBS but if we lose 1.9M buy game this coming season, it will sting.

ULM will move down. The only question is how long it will take.

Why did they add women's lax then? Right now they have three more womens sports than men. If they were dropping FBS it makes zero sense.

The Lax program is funded from donations and not the university budget. And it draws in 20 or so students who otherwise wouldn't be there. Same with our resurrected baseball team.

Yeah because they only have 8,800 students at this point and may emerge from the pandemic with half that total.

I guess its not totally out of the range of possibllity. EMU is another one.

Schools like UMass and UConn aren't going anywhere and are possible fill ins for the MAC. They've invested too much and are not a peer in FB with Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island anymore.

I could see Ball St., Bowling Green, Akron, Kent and EMU dropping down together at some point. Maybe all the others but Toledo and Buffalo as well.

I think it would be an independent -- the schools in the MAC are a cohesive group and it's hard to see any of them dropping football. They all budget similarly.

UConn, ULM or UMass. One of the three if it is anybody.

UConn was odds on favorite with or without this Covid thing.

This just gives them an excuse to do it sooner than originally planned and save face with their supporters (both of them ).
