That may leave the XII desiring to expand simply to have enough members to play some of its sports.
A declining market for televised sports also could force a PAC-XII merger. Take 6 from the XII (UT, TT, TCU, OU, OSU, KU) and it might be workable.
Missouri AD already said in an interview that they are looking at cutting sports. It depends on the P5 schools. The lower end P5 schools not selling tickets are the ones hurting the most. The P5 with legal issues because of the misbehavior of the players sexually assaulting fellow students and all that who had to pay, would be cash scrapped as is.
I thought them going to the SEC was going to fix all their money issues? Which brings me to the point that all of this is gonna blow up sooner than later. You have schools like Mizzu who get the same cut as Bama, GA and FL. Yet still find themselves in tough spots. I understand that Bama, GA and FL raise much more money through it's boosters than Mizzu but eventually the top..TOP brands will want more, they always do.
