I love how one news anchor said, "this shouldn't be happening". Uh, yes it should.

A lot more fireworks in ABQ last night. Watched from my drive way for about an hour.

Well, fireworks that leave the ground are illegal here in Colorado, too. The amount and number shot off here was far beyond what usually happens on the 4th, too. They were going off until around 1 a.m. and it sounded like a war zone. They did an aerial view of Denver also and it looked just like L.A., a big FU to local authorities who canceled virtually all commercial fireworks displays due to covid and extreme drought.

Due to the lockdown, people wanted to get out and DO something. I actually had no problem with it (it rained hard a few hours before dusk) as I didn't have to worry about somebody's fireworks starting a fire.

What was surprising was that on the evening of the 5th there were few being shot off. They blew through all of them on the 4th, which doesn't usually happen.

Sorry to hear it's that bad out there.
