I have seen some stupid diversity stuff, but this is real kooky. The closest thing I have ever experienced personally was we had a lady once (from the city of Memphis maybe??) who came to audit us, for lack of a better word. This was probably 10-12 years ago. She was adamant about verifying our hiring records- how many blacks we had working here, when was each office person hired, etc. When she found out that the black and Hispanic employees we have work out on jobsites, she then turned her focus to the office staff (7 people) and when was each hired, how many blacks were interviewed, etc. They wound up sending our office manager to some diversity training thing downtown for a day. The lady from the city has never followed back up on any of it.
